We can’t come out with the same setup second half, just asking for trouble and awaiting the inevitable like we did for the equaliser. Completely overran in midfield, they have so much space out wide. They looked vulnerable at the back but seem to have settled into it much better than us after a weird 10 minutes.

Lucky still to be level. Cardiff are overloading the flanks. We either have to counter this or defend the crosses when they come in. At present Cardiff are just walking through our midfield.
So so open -Peck or Rothwell press - Cardiff drop shoulder we then are wide open. We seem incapable of simple 5 yard passes.

Baptiste/Rothwell/Cannon need to come off. Got to go 1 up front.

Riedawald/ Phillips/Doherty ON.

Concerning to say the least that Cardiff can make us look this poor.

Still time to improve and get a result though. Tactical and personnel changes required.

admittedly i struggled with 240p stream. as my usual site wouldnt want to work. until i finally found an alternative on 40 mins 😀

2-2 & we are arguably fortunate to be that. cardiff last 30 mins have been much the better team & you could see the equaliser coming a mile away. we just couldnt cope with their crossing

to quote "the pinch" on social media "It’s not the defending here; it’s the passing. Absolutely abysmal stuff. Can’t pass ten yards; never mind pass 60 yards"

We have to do something different at HT, or we are just coming out and hoping (massively on the back foot again) they continue waste their opportunities to create big chances. Again.

Hb
I’d say Tanganga to right back and Baptiste in the middle.

Though he scored and won the penalty himself we are getting overrun; I’d be putting O’Hare in midfield and playing BBD asap on the left.

There is a case for Riedewald and Phillips to come on on midfield.

The way to win this game is to go at them though and out score then. Sit back and that’s how we’ll lose this in my opinion.

That second goal was so bad. In a period where we kept turning over possession Bamford walked into trouble.
Walked into trouble beacuse there was no midfield or other player in support to pass it too.

May as well not bothered playing 2 cms that half, as they both decided not to turn up collectively.

Whats frustrating is the opening 15 Cardiff couldnt cope with bamford & cannon up front and ohare drifting in.... we stopped it after 2nd goal and conceeded possession very bizarrely.. as the two midfielders couldnt get up to support.

Rothwell is shot to bits. We dont have an athletic midfield to play this what wilder has tried today

Why do we always sit back when we go in front? I just don’t get it! Absolutely invited Cardiff on to go and score it was inevitable! And Wilder just stands there and does naff all about it! So frustrating to watch it unfold!

Hopefully there’s a change in mentality for the 2nd half cos their defence is there to be got at!
If we sit back I fear the worse cos Cardiff tore us apart for 30mins straight then!

Plugging the gap left by Seriki has completely unsettled us. Baptist looked solid as LCB, now a RB looks vulnerable all the time. Virtually no support from Donovan isn't helping. Midfield is too open and we're going to struggle playing for long balls if we're relying on the pace....... of Bamford. Reshuffle. 3 at the back horse shoe McCallum and Doherty around Philips:

Remember we are a weaker team than last season, which struggled for a lot of last season. The games we are seeing were always going to happen.

Return of the Shack!

Phillips too

3-5-1-1

It needed something doing.

At least he’s acknowledged the midfield needed strengthening and the defence wasn’t working.
