  • Wilder's red card from the Southampton game hasn't resulted in a charge yet, but also I haven't heard that it's led to nothing. I assume we'll announce at some point
  • Gus remains on 4 yellows, meaning one more in the next 9 games and he gets a one-game ban. However, will he even play in many of them?!

No cards for the Blades last night, so all as we were, with 4 games now left in this ban period, up to and including game 19
 
Some chat about us being less physical than fans would like us to be...

This time last year we had accumulated 35 yellow cards throughout the squad. This year it's 26. Not a huge difference, but perhaps a sign of us being less desperate. Just a stat in isolation though

For anyone wondering, re the Robbo loan rumour

Robbo has been sent off twice in the league this season, both times via two yellows. A two-yellow sending off results in a 1-match suspension. However, it’s a progressive punishment, which means the second time it happened, he was suspended for 2 games. 1 for the sending off, 1 more for it being the second time.

So this means if it happens again, he would get a 3-match suspension. 1 for the sending off, 2 for it being the third occurrence.

Whilst he never got sent off for us, we know he is a hot head, so we would be taking on an even bigger liability than he was when he left.

  • We have now played 19 league games, which means the 5-yellow suspension limit is removed, and we go to 10 yellows before a 2-game ban is issued
  • We have accumulated 28 yellows and 0 reds across our current squad to this point, with no matches missed due to suspension. Last season, at this same point, we had 47 yellows and 0 reds, with 3 matches missed due to yellow card suspensions (Gus-7, Vini-6 & Anel-5).

  • From where I was stood, on numerous occasions, I was impressed with Hamer's ability to just pull out from a snide foul at the very last moment. He has rarely done that before, especially when having an average game. He usually takes his frustration out on an opposing player
