We must be hoping on a decent fee on him hence the contract extension

Arsenal and Manchester City have Directors of Football, they have been a success.Watford and Leicester have Director of Football, have they been a success?
When he came on last night he simply looked lost, not knowing where to go or what to do.
Do we not have sports science staff who look after a player’s physical AND mental health? Please note I’m not criticising him for his mental heath. It’s just that he looks as though he needs some help and it’s the club’s responsibility to make sure he gets it.
Leicester who won the Premier League and FA Cup?Watford and Leicester have Director of Football, have they been a success?
Man City did by cheating. Arsenal are a big 5 club and can afford having a DoF. We are not a big 5 clubArsenal and Manchester City have Directors of Football, they have been a success.
Years ago!Leicester who won the Premier League and FA Cup?
Watford who got to a cup final and have spent more seasons than us in the Premier League despite the potty owners?
He didn't even work his bollocks off either. He only came on as we have an even more inept, lazy and unfit forward called Jordan Ayew.Unless he’s has an illness we have not been told about (in which case why is he near the squad?) it’s totally unacceptable for a professional footballer to be blowing out of his arse after less than 10 minutes
Not sure but think it was a 1 year thing
I'm still dumb founded that we've given a player who has never completed 90 minutes for us and is unreliable a 3 year contract.
Tyrese Campbell has put pen-to-paper on fresh terms to extend his stay with the Blades.
The striker's current deal will now run to the summer of 2028.
Both of them also have been in the premier league for years and have lots of money to spendArsenal and Manchester City have Directors of Football, they have been a success.
I'm pretty sure Wilder was quoted as it being a financial decision to protect the club rather than earning an extension. Essentially this way we get something for him rather than nothing. Despite his performances this season he will still go for a couple of million whether you believe him worth it or notHe gained a contract extension.....for some reason.
At Watford it's hard for a director or football to build a squad for a head coach when they get replaced 3 times a season. As for Leicester they splashed out on some signings but forgot about appointing a decent head coach, but you have a fairer argument with their case.
Manchester City have Directors of Football, they have beena success. Cheats
Yeah, it was maybe a one year extension, which took it to three. Not sure but think it was a 1 year thing. Billy would have been a better signing.
Yes Joe seems to ring a bell that reason, but who is going to buy him based on his cameo appearances? We got him for nothing, so let him go at the end of his contract and a huge (massive) thank you for his goals against the piggies. It maybe that the owners have been talked into sanctioning the deal when they heard "profit", something Bettis could have objected to but that probably would've upset Wilder.I'm pretty sure Wilder was quoted as it being a financial decision to protect the club rather than earning an extension. Essentially this way we get something for him rather than nothing. Despite his performances this season he will still go for a couple of million whether you believe him worth it or not
When was the last time we did that?Years ago!
Ok, can you suggest who would be a good DoF for us then? I mean anyone who we can afford. When was the last time we did that?
Your views on football really were set in stone around the time when we sold John Tudor, weren't they?Man City did by cheating. Arsenal are a big 5 club and can afford having a DoF. We are not a big 5 club
This is one of those double edged sword things. We can't just get rid mate, the idiots have given him an extended contract! Just have to hope some club out there lose there senses and offer stupid money for him!... let's face it its not happening were stuck with him sadly![]()
I, nor I suspect anybody else on this forum is privy to our annual budget, or how much DoFs are paid, so it’s hard to answer that question precisely.Ok, can you suggest who would be a good DoF for us then? I mean anyone who we can afford.
There was a recent article on the BBC about the first cohort of ex players who have completed a course which qualifies them as directors of football.Ok, can you suggest who would be a good DoF for us then? I mean anyone who we can afford.
Before he signed for us.He lost his father didn't he? Not an excuse but may be something to bear in mind.
Not a chance.I'm pretty sure Wilder was quoted as it being a financial decision to protect the club rather than earning an extension. A few would get success and most will failThere was a recent article on the BBC about the first cohort of ex players who have completed a course which qualifies them as directors of football.
Same can be said of every player you sign and every manager you appoint. Everyone has to start somewhere.A few would get success and most will fail
The latter is coming back from injury so Wilder isnt eating into anything. This is where Wilder unnecessarily eats into the credit he has.
In what interest of Sheffield United is it short, medium or long term to have Campbell and Ayew on the bench instead of Oné, unless the latter is injured?
Either Campbell is ill and needs to recover away from the lights or he’s well below what is required professionally and shouldn’t be in the team. Either way he isn’t justifying his place and him entering the field is like having 10 (or 9) men.
Listen....I, nor I suspect anybody else on this forum is privy to our annual budget, or how much DoFs are paid, so it’s hard to answer that question precisely.
Stuart Webber’s name was thrown about in the past, but I see he’s recently moved to a Japanese club.
Heckingbottom would be another option who I suspect doesn’t command a huge wage. But that’s assuming he’d be up for a role change. He’s intelligent enough for the job and made some smart signings during his time, as well as seemingly having a clearer pathway for the younger players.
Easier for the big clubs to afford two big wages. Watford and Leicester thought they are big clubs. Let's not fall into the same situationSame can be said of every player you sign and every manager you appoint. Everyone has to start somewhere.
