Brooks and Wilder

The problem is the game is moving to big, athletic players with decent technical ability. Thats Brooks.

His weaknesses; inconsistency and decision making can be improved with good coaching.

His ceiling is a Premier League player IMHO. We don’t have many of them.

Another example is Bogle, who had all the raw materials but couldn’t put it together with consistency. He also needed to improve his defending. Farke’s team have coached him up and he’s kicked on.
Exactly that....and we r selling one of our few big athletic players whilst bringing in old, injury prone, unathletic players (Rothwell and Phillips)

But we will be alright because they are experienced and thats what really matters !

Scary to think that we may already have his replacement …….’Chong’ ….. who unfortunately is on a 4 year deal so has 3 years left!
Like it or not I think we’re gonna have to persevere with Chong.
I’m sure there’s a player in there somewhere, but the question is, has Wilder got the patience to bring it out of him.

Eh…..?
Does that mean someone signs then immediately leaves?
Or someone leaves & immediately re-signs?

As far as Brooks goes, I saw a player who has potential and a lot to learn.
If the ‘him & Wilder’ rumours are true & he’s in the last year of his contract, I assume the choice was take the offer from Norwich which is decent money OR let him walk away for nowt next summer.
All players have a valuation & there’s a time to sell when you’re not rolling in cash - which we’re not. Such is the business of football.
For all we know, he might have a caravan in Yarmouth.
I’ve already posted that he has and he drinks in the Steam Packet
