Darren never gets a prediction right, he also doesn’t really make predictions on signings he just comments on them afterwards.

Keeps him relevant when Blades want updates they go to him which he seemingly enjoys. Nothing wrong with any of that in my opinion.

I think he's moved position over the last few months from someone that fed tit bits following conversations with agents that were mates/clients to more of a Jim Phipps role as unofficial (but known about) social media rep for the club. As such, he's careful not to share anything that's either not completed or very close to.

Tbh, similar to Alan Nixon, I don't get why some people seem to get upset with him and what he puts out. If they don't like or believe it, simply don't follow - pretty simple really!

As Jim found, trying to balance being unofficial spokesperson with expressing personal opinion usually proves tricky and usually results in receiving criticism and even abuse from others.

Interesting to see how Joe Riley has descended the divisions in trying to find his level - now at Carlisle after failing to make an impact at Bradford. I remember him getting absolutely roasted all evening playing RWB when Utd played Bristol Rovers.

I don't know tbh MB - he certainly didn't play much for Bradford - injury may be one of the reasons

Tbh I wasn't impressed at all when he was at Utd - another where expectations are perhaps unreasonably set based on parent club / fee.
