For me it’s very different rewatching this – enjoyment without any of the nervous stress I had on the day even when we were ahead. I don’t think I truly relaxed till the board went up for injury time.
I've not laughed as much since the virus came.

Forgotton how cool, calm, collective and confident we looked............................ and just how shit the pigs were. Brookes was immense .

Enjoyed it far more today without the butterflies .Best bit was how deflated they were when Duffy hit the net.
Yes, I enjoyed it today just as much as the first time round. That was in a bar in Vienna with my brother in law and an Irish Blade in his Blades shirt and one miserable pig who didn’t say much.🤣🤣

The mixture of emotions at that game was unreal. At the start of the second half I was convinced we wouldnt be able to hold on, but as soon as we went back in front I was convinced we'd won.

Its only when you watch the game back in full you realise how much that third goal had knocked their duck off. There was no way back for them, the wednesday players didnt even believe themselves that they could come back after that and there was still about 20 minutes to go. They really should have gone on and won that the way they started the second half. Once we got to grips with them again there was no way we weren't winning.

It was one of the best days ever to be blade, brilliant this afternoon thanks SUFC, little did we know what was to follow...
"Bashan arrivinnnnnnnng"
"Has to be Billy sharp who scores Sheffield's United first goal in the premiership"
"Here's Norwood goes inside and out, twists and turns......NORWOOD for the blades, what a goal"
"Ball played into Lundstrum....what a goal....keef"
"Absolute fantastic, superb flick of the feet, you will not see a much better goal than that...."

To be truthful they have not said nothing much since .

That was only his second start for the Blades!! Wow.
Hope he gets back from his injury ok.
One helluva player.

On Pointless the other day (I know, but we are on lockdown), they had pictures of 5 mascots to identify the club they belonged to. The Wednesday mascot even had 'MASSIVE' written on it it just below CHANSIRI. A massive 15% recognised it. The only one with lower recognition was Rotherham, which scored 9%. They are so massive they are 6% better known than Rotherham! The other reminder from the re-run of the game was how often D-Taxis was advertised; can someone remind me how that much that company has grown by in the last 3 years...

Really enjoyed watching this back today. We were very good.

So many of our players have left great memories from that side - Coutts, Fleck, Duffy Leon, JOC, the full backs, Bash, Wright, Brooks. Even CCV and Blackman had their moments.

One thing I did notice watrching it back was a corner Wednesday had in the first half. They are losing at home in a local derby and when the ball is played into the box they had 4 players in the area. If you add the taker, then 5 other players are on the pitch but not being pushed forward.

That is shit and sums them up at the time. Very negative approach that cost them again and again. They were nothing like as good as they thought they were, which made our move up the leagues all the more fun .

After watching that back I just kept thinking that we should buy Brooks back. He would unlock the door and get us the goals that our excellent play deserves.

I actually was thinking the same although I've always argued against it maybe we should watch the Norwich game when he was anonymous

Duffs, the bounce killer.
That one goal has to stand as being monumentally equal to designing the E Type Jag, and siring Marilyn Monroe.

Wonderful to watch that back in full.

Apart from star turns from Brooksy, Leon and Duffs, it was great to see Jake Wright and Coutsy- two players now departed but never to be forgotten parts of the dream Wilder era.

I read on Twitter that 11,000 watched it yesterday.

Whose massive now - ya piggy 🐷 twats?
