Its getting ridiculous, the actions of their fans is having a bearing on results.

They were on for a 2-1 win and thanks to those muppet fans of theirs its given Bolton a point.

To be clear, the whistle-blowing today was not a repeat of the protest at the Ricoh for the Utd game, but instead amounted to several dickheads blowing whistles at certain points in the game (almost at random). The whistles were not part of any organised protest today: instead, a small group of supporters staged a protest inside the ground after the match, and which had been agreed beforehand with the stewards/club.

There are some Coventry supporters who think there was a whistle leading up to the Bolton equaliser that put players off their stride; but there appear to be equal number who think it was simply defensive lameness (off the back of a lucky miscued ball). On the face of the Sky footage, the goal had nothing to do with player's reactions to a whistle.

Utd are the best footballing side I've seen at the Ricoh this season: there's real quality and signs of footballing expression. Bolton are very different: tall and imposing, know what to do and look to get it done, yet in ways quite ordinary and prosaic. As things stand, I see Bolton in the playoffs only.

Can't see how Utd can fail to go up, and despite the usual gobshite comments here I'm actually pleased for you: your fanbase has remained firm despite a number of years in this sh*t league, and you deserve better.

Our display at the Ricoh was our least convincing in our last 15 matches.
Even Wilder was angry because apart from the first 30 minutes we failed to dominate like normal.
The atmosphere that night definitely unsettled our players.

It's a weird one. Normally you'd have sympathy for a Coventry or Portsmouth
But we've fallen on terrible times ourselves. We've also seen our arch rivals Wednesday in a similar position to your club, basically having to service a large debt to balance the books, so they needed a much bigger crowd than other clubs just to break even. A few years ago Wednesday did a deal with a new investor (Milan Mandaric) and had 20 million pound of debt written off. Seems like a form of cheating.

We've played by the rules to manage our debts, so we've sold our best player or rising star every year.
We've had some terrible owners since the 1990's, running the club into the ground but no other fans were interested in our plight. Other clubs gamble paying what they can't afford, get into huge debt.
Go into admin, clear the debt then start again. Again this seems like a form of cheating.

It must be galling that Leicester City built a new stadium, couldn't afford it (like yourselves)
So went into admin, cleared the debt and started again.....and look at them now.

It seems to me your fans want new investors (a sugar daddy) to throw money at your club just becuase there's potential but all big clubs in the lower divisions want that.

Pleased to hear this.

Also be aware that a large reason there have been as you put it 'gobshite' comments, I would say 'rightfully annoyed and pissed of people' was in no small measure because of a number of lies being spread on the internet about our fans at Coventry.

Couldn't disagree with much of this. Unfortunately, the whole of the football stry

The 'gobshite' comment was a friendly one, as 'you old b**stards'. In my experience, there's an awful lot of gobshite on footy forums, none less than skybluetalk.

Now now. no argueing 2017 top of the league.what a transformation.who would have even thought it.and even coventry fans couldnt stop the 3 points we got at theres.we will be true champions of div 1 come end of season.
