baldock and the rest of our wide players will have to play a different game under slav very much doubt we will be pissing about playing in triangles out wide instead of getting the crosses in to the box lets see what happens with different tactics

Fair the love of all that is holy, I hope you are correct. Whilst the vast majority of things CWAK did for SUFC was positive, the attacking play (when we did have the ball for the 30% of the match) was starting to give me high blood pressure watching it as it was so predictably slow in build up, included many more passes for passing sake (which allowed teams to get back and get set again defensively) and was so negative as I lost count of the number of times we worked a good position out wide only to stop and either piss about trying to get it to the other wing or at times end up just passing it back to Ramsdale who with no one in midfield to pass to would end up just lumping it forward and giving possession away again. It was truly dreadful to watch last season and a sign early in the season that the team and management had lost their way. It was a mess.

Time to move on and hope for a reset and much better things, but by God that last season was total shite in every conceivable way including 'style of play' (before we even include results falling off a cliff).

Let's hope Big Slav had us attacking again with purpose and fast tempo. That in itself would constitute a huge change for the better.

Sounds very much like the successful Liverpool approach when they romped the PL recently. High pressing game, with high tempo attack. What’s not to like? (They did come unstuck a bit last season though) :)

yeah got to agree with all of that slow tempo not getting the ball in the box early enough when we had the chance to were all part of our undoing last season plus playing with 10 men when lundstram was on the pitch didnt help us either 🙄

At the moment,I see Bogle as another Junior Hoilett or a Mendez Laing, let him prove me wrong and be better than both of them.

It's because the same "reliable" sources that claim Berge is available for £13 million are the same ones that say we have a £40 million "shortfall". They've misunderstood the information - we don't have a shortfall of £40 million to make up, we have a reduction in income of £40 million (actually closer to £50 million) - not the same thing. Adding up the fees we've supposedly paid, the wages we've supposedly paid, and whatever we had to pay to McCabe suggests we've either come out of the Premier League with a little profit, or at the very least broken even. We now have £45 million this season, £35 million next season and £15 million the season after. If our wage bill was £30 million last season as I've seen reported, and this is reduced due to relegation clauses, we still have a nice chunk of money from the parachute payments. Sell some players, we'll have even more for Slav, but we don't need to sell if we don't want to (or the price isn't right).
If our wage bill was £30m last season, it shouldn’t be any surprise that we got relegated. I doubt that was the case.

Our wage club bill will have gone sky of 50 m last season people always look at the last accounts which are always 12 months out of date

Wing backs, what people are speculating how Bogle will develop.Hoilett started out as a full back, developed into a wing back.
They are totally random players to compare him to. Who next, Paul Devlin?

Should be comparing him to attacking full backs not wingers.

Oh, and Hoillett has never been a full back.

Sorry, but Hoilett started as a full back,so not a random player to compare Bogle to.We are speculating if Bogle will be better in a more forward position,a winger/ wing back,so Mendez Laing is again not a random player to compare Bogle to.

Hoilett started as a full back for whom? He was and always has been a winger, as has NML 😂 neither anything like Bogle either

Sorry,Hoilett started as a full back,as Bogle is now.We have already tried Bogle as a midfield/attacking winger,so the Mendez Laing comparison stands as well.
