CONFIRMED Bogle to Leeds United

I expect the agent wants a tidy fee on a new deal if he does want to stay.

plus point to Wilder being in charge, he isn't prepared to let a players agent rinse the club.
isn’t that why we missed out on Ivan Toney?

Prime Bogle can be a game changer. Fantastic feet, attacking flair and he has a goal in him. Not as good defensively but still not terrible.

His biggest weakness has been his injury record, although he has been better more recently.

All things considered I would rather keep him at this level, but as already said by others, we aren't (at the moment) a club who can afford to let players leave for free, so it's best to cash in now if the offer is good enough.

It would be a shame to see him go, but he has done well for us overall and I think he would be fondly remembered.

He's great going forward. Always felt Baldock on his day was better in defence.

Be a shame to lose him. Presumably Leeds will offer him bigger wage and perhaps he sees them as a better prospect. Which isn't unfair.

We get 5-7m and re invest that in a new RWB/RB well then probably best for all parties if he wants out.

Can anyone anywhere point me to the ‘evidence’ that Bogle has ‘turned down’a (new) contract, or that such an offer has been made ?
No club including us allows a player to start his last contracted year without offering them a new one
unless they want them out the door.Berge and Illiman were offered them to no avail as they were set on moving.

I like Bogle and he added an attacking / goal threat in sides that were rarely free-scoring but the Board needs to improve its contract management of players. If he won't extend, then he should be sold. Tbh - this rule should be applied when players are approaching their final 18-24 months, not once options have been triggered.

the apparent change of formation to 4231 means bogle best position rwb wont exist anymore hes not a right back anything 5m upwards and we will sell and think the right back position will be filled by a loan from the premier league

True. But the point to remember is that we’ll be having majority possession in this division in almost every game so the % of time he’ll spend defending vs attacking will be vastly reduced.

I’m fine with us being a high scoring team that concedes a few occasionally.

He could be the Kieron Freeman of the Championship and notch almost double figures from full back if we get the style right.

They've just sold that Kamara for a decent profit so if ever there was a time for us to push for a higher fee it would now

I don’t think they’ve made much on him as they’re getting £6-7million and they owe Rangers a sell-on fee which is a percentage of the total fee rather than just the profit. Think they paid around £4.5 mill for him from Rangers.

Sold him for about £10 mil I'd been told (my mates a Leeds fan so wouldn't be surprised if he's inflated the figure)

Amazing how one guy wrote that he’d be up for the move to Leeds and it’s taken as gospel on here and the pitchforks come out. It’s taken us years to try and sort the LWB position yet people are happy enough that we’ll lose both our RWB’s in the same summer. I know right footed players are easier to come by but there aren’t many other right backs I’d swap Bogle for in the championship and that’s pretty much what it’d be given the fees involved.

This is an interesting one because it depends who holds the cards.

If PA is still in charge I'm very confident Bogle will be sold as the strategy has been to sell with 1 year left.

Wonder in the new owners feel the same?

if its only 2m might as well keep him some loan fees for a replacement would be higher ,,,, so its been doubled and then some

this blogger reckons 7m is a decent enough price for Jayden

Anyone getting the face on with Bogle is a massive wet lettuce ;):);):)

Doubt there is one player in our squad who wouldnt move to leeds if the club accepted an offer they are a big club offering good wages

Just because he wouldnt mind moving to leeds doesnt mean he is going on strike an dforcing a move , keep hima nd offer him a new contract when we are top and they are mid table after 15 games

Anyway doesnt he have a +1 ?

£4 Mill for Bogle is a steal , if he stays fit and rips the champ a new one theres a 15/20 mill Righ back in him

I agree, sign him up to a 3 year deal and then flog him for mega wonga :)

After last seasons debacle and embarrassment why would you want to be in the premier league again?
Hopes for the season, be happy with mid table which is what we currently are a mid table championship side.
To see quality players, to receive huge sums of money and to do what we did a few year’s ago.

If he doesn't want a new contract let him go. We don't need another 'will be signing in 72 hours' moment. I don't feel he ever realised his potential after a great start to his career with us. However, if we get funds a replacement is deffo needed.

Jayden Bogle is currently the highest scoring player we have left at the club.

A total of 10 league goals across four seasons stretching back to 2020-21..

In other words, he's a keeper, but not in the Garbage sense of the word.

We haven't got a player at the club who isn't a defender that has scored more than 4 league goals for us.

Shambolic.
Not a problem if we sign players who score regularly. What has happened in the past is of little use to us this season.

Right now I don’t see Bogle as being quite in the same boat as Ndiaye.

Ndiaye fetched a figure of 15-20m and that we found too compelling.

Leeds seem to be hovering around 4m and we may somehow drag them to 7m.

Personally I’d see having an attacking asset such a Bogle and not strengthening a main rival as worth a gamble of that 7m.
