Blades v Pigs new manager..

Wednesday's squad have shown they can turn in a performance when they want, 3-0 at Forest

Don't read too much into that.
The Forest players knew Warbiola was leaving, a day before it was officially announced.
They could've played Wonders Blind School XI and still be mauled.

I think Bullen (if still at S6) will have a major role to play next Friday.....

I almost feel sorry for them having to pretend they are happy with the appointment. He might turn out to be great but it's obviously not an appointment any of them wanted.

I wonder if McLaren doesn't seem so bad after all....

They can't be signing any players, albeit loansters, so next Friday, if the medical staff haven't fixed up the patients, we could be seeing a mish-mash of mercenaries and young lads wanting to be 'noticed' ...

I reckon 0-0.

He hasn’t though, as he? I thought at least one happened after he had left.

I must have misread then. But it does appear he has promotions and managed more massiver clubs than the pigs

Didn’t know Chansiri was a Daft Punk fan?

Get Luhukay

We're up one nil thanks to Jos Luhukay

We're up two nil thanks to Jos Luhukay

We're up three nil thanks to Jos Luhukay

We're up four nil thanks to Jos Luhukay

Repeat.

Bundeslige 2.... Anyone know if it's comparable in standard to the Championship?

I see they've probably hired him because he's had a few promotions
The only true way to compare is if teams played each other. In 2014 Paderborn played Wigan. Paderborn had just been promoted to the top tier. Their team contained players, now plying their trade in the Premier League. Eg Kachunga. They were top after 6 games or so in the Bundesliga a few weeks after that game. The same season! 2014-2015, Wigan went down to League One. The game was in Paderborn. Wigan won easily 1-0. Hope that helps.
Their new manager is a disciplinarian. Egos tend not get on with him. His teams' performances are often 'workmanlike'. Not sure how he'll do in the long term. German coaches seem to be in vogue at the moment. Win, Lose or draw next Friday, Wilder is better, a lot better. Trust me on that.

''.... he has always walked away when he has not felt comfortable at a club....''

Let's make sure that he knows exactly what he's signed up for at 2200 next Friday....
Let them/him know that it's a relegation dogfight they're involved in and not a chance of the play-off positions.
I NEVER want to see anyone from their side running down the touchline twirling a scarf...

edit...

''He sorts out the defence first, tries to keep clean sheets and stop losing lots of goals and then go from there. That would be his first priority.''

PIGS to line up with a new 9-1-0 formation at BDTBL....

Anti-Football has landed in Sheffield.

I believe Boyd is fit, which is a pain. He's the kind of player who could rip through a defence and become almost unplayable.

I'd still bite your hand off for a draw. Playing a team with a new manager. A team who have been massively underperforming. Is a big worry.

Am I right in thinking in Germany clubs tend to have technical directors with a playing background who effectively run the clubs and oversee recruitment etc? Will he be reliant on Wednesday being a well run club to succeed?

Wasn't Carvahal adopting the same tactics... much to the Pigs disgust?

Based on what the Pigs think of Boyd so far this season I don't see him ripping through anything mate. Another one who appears to have lost his legs the moment he signed for them. Having said that he was a good player and if the new bloke can get a tune out of him then who knows.

I think I can answer this mate as I've been to a few Bundesliga 2 games in the past couple of years. The standard is fooking shocking, and in NO WAY comparable to the Championship. United would win that league with a hundred points again. Hope this helps!!

I find it telling that with all the ‘names’ available on the merry-go-round, they’ve had to get someone who’s been out of work for 18 months, no English football experience & a reputation for being defensive.
Couple that with recent results, the season ticket farce, the new CEO etc, they’re all over the place at the moment aren’t they on & off the field. That should bode well for us on Friday.
No complacency from Utd though.
Hoping for a convincing win by 2 goals. Dreaming of a drubbing![/QUOT

If he wants to go defensive he has a problem
Pigs can’t defend

That helps a lot. Thanks

That’s the one and only goal a pig will score at bdtbl this season

Sort of. The fans have input as well in lots of clubs. Head Coaches/managers do bring 'their' players in. Let's say things are done by committee.
He will be used to derbies,he has been in some Ruhr ones. However, the steel city Derby will be like nothing he has experienced before. Wouldn't surprise me if he had them playing like Bolton for the game. He will also contact that pillock at Norwich. They know each other.

He's only played 4 games!

Crocked for most of the season and the few times he has played he has been underwhelming, apparently. Like I said I agree he is/was a good player but I just don't see him causing us too many problems. Just back after a serious shoulder injury as well.
He may play today so let's see if he does anything.
