Blades Superstore

Had some relatives from abroad a couple of months ago and I proudly took them into the store and they bought a couple of hundred quids worth of gear. It was the adidas stuff but without the badges but the assistant said no problem they'll iron them on at the desk. So we went to the desk and yep, they'd run out of badges. The excuse was that the kit man had taken the last batch. They had no idea when the new stock was coming in and the merchandise was returned to them, lost sale and no-one seemed to give a fuck.

Think about that for a moment. SUFC superstore and no SUFC logos for the merchandise. That's about as incompetent as you can get.

When I bought my son's shirt he couldn't have any name on the back as they had run out of vowels!!

It’s not just down to Adidas though. I went at the beginning of June for a new blades beach towel only to be told they had none and the next batch were due in at the end of August. You really couldn’t make it up. I finally got one....... will come in handy for next year

I blame Compass Catering ... if they got their arses in gear and served more Pies & Quicker, the Fan Base would move onto XL and XXL ................

Need Crab Industries on the case.

Went in yesterday for a woolly hat for my grandson only to find that there were none left of the design he wanted.
Hope he likes the one Santa is bringing in its place.
Piss poor in the run up to Christmas though.

I’m all for that, as it is - my lad pisses himself laughing at me trying to get through the turnstile......

Apologies for bringing my doom and gloom to you during the season of good will, but I really need to let off a bit of stream re. the club shop...

So our 6 year old son is desperate for the purple away kit for Xmas and put it at the top of his list to Santa. The wife went to the club shop this afternoon to get it for him to find that the smallest size they do (7-8yrs) is out of stock. After asking the shop assistant if they are getting any more in before Xmas she was told no. She then asked when the next delivery is due, and was told that they will not be ordering any more away kits in from now until the end of the season!! This was then confirmed by the shop manager, but nobody could give a reason as to why, and the only explanation given was that they "just weren't getting any more".

So now we're going to have a very disappointed child on Christmas Day. Obviously we should have acted a bit sooner and not left it this late, but how ridiculous that not only have they not prepared themselves for the busiest time of the year, but for the rest of the season thereafter:mad:

Obviously whoever orders the kits is the same f***wit who orders the pies

Rant over.

Have you written to Dejphon Chansiri? Oops, wrong forum..

Same problem appears to exist with junior goalkeepers shirts (both home and away). Clearly Santa ain't bringing one to our house this year.:mad:

Apropos nowt much, I bought a winter coat from the Superstore last week for about 40 quid. The exact same coat with a Minnesota United badge on it is selling for $200 over here.
Toronto FC shirt is CAN$130 plus tax. Crazy.

What would be the hardest player's surname to figure out without any vowels?

Going back a few years, but I'd go with

gn

Anyone?

Same boat for me, my lad is 5 and his home kit is the mini kit but it's now a bit small has he seems to have had a growth spurt. He'd like the away shirt but even 2 or 3 weeks ago they were all gone. I suppose it's good that they've sold out and there won't be a load of stock to sell off cheap at the end of the season, however it's annoying for now. Also never realised that they don't do GK shirts in Junior sizes, only adult ones available.

My compromise will be to get his name and number added to his home shirt.

This wouldnt have happened if Jim Phipps was still involved, he was actively ensuring maximum commercial revenue even though it wasn’t even his job !

Buy a larger one, turn it inside out and use a sowing machine to make it fit. Simples...
Truth is they have just fucked up on an order and not many care because lets face it looks fucking blue! YAK!

That mirror article is a load of bollocks. It's saying that the club only gets a £3 licensing fee for the sale of a shirt and that the retailer gets the biggest slice at £18 per shirt. The imbecile doesn't realise that the club is the retailer in most cases outside the top 6 in the prem, and for these clubs they get a huge up front bung for agreeing to sale in general sports shops.

We've done this before with Addidas. Back in one of the Clough's seasons we brought out the Black away kit (beneath) which was fairly crap and then hardly played in it and went regularly with the third shirt - yellow - which incidentally is exactly the same as the Livingstone hone short at the time - also produced by Adidas. I refuse to buy an Adidas kit until they bring out a proper red and white striped shirt, without one colour dominating over another, or as is the case this year, black on the sides.

Back to the third kit issue, If I brought an away shirt that was never played in, in favour of a third kit - I'd be demanding my money back. They're only in for a season anyway, and the club should make a statement that the purple kit isn't to be worn regularly and give a part re-fund to the fans that have already brought one. It won't happen though obviously.

Fuck off if you want clothes in your size.We only sell small & xxxl here. What do you think this is? A shop ? No chance can your kid have a goalie shirt this xmas, what kid would want a goalie shirt ? Think again if you need a beach towel in the summer. Do one if you think your getting a promotion year season review dvd. We will bring out a 3rd shirt if we bloody feel like it, but you cant have one, we don’t want to sell you any. We are Sheff united, we’ll do what we want !

Looking at the advents calendar they send as email everyday, you have more chance of winning the lottery than buying lots of things in XXL.

That little lad will probably end up playing in the Premier league earning millions while our little snowflakes with their designer £50.00 shirts will be stacking shelves at Tesco.

More likely designing and manufacturing kits for the Pigs.
