Who do you think was the best Billy's or brownies ?

Good question! Both came from defensive headers.

Browny had a bit more to do and it was the pigs after all.

Both superb though.

I don't think it's because the Brown goal meant more to me, no, I'm pretty sure I prefer Brown's volley on a technical level more.

Both amazing goals though.

Akinbyis volley at Swillsborough deserves to be mentioned alongside them two as well. Akinbyi deserves more respect from fans for that moment alone

That's not to take anything away from Billy's effort though, which was also pure class.

No debate whatsoever. Billy's was a brilliant volley, superb technique and one of the goals of the season no doubt, but Brown's was simply out of this world, a cleaner striker from further out, in a bigger game, past a better keeper.

I actually reckon Billy's was harder given the height (although I've not double-checked that, I'm just going off memory), but the connection on Browny's was so so sweet - and felt so so good for it to be against the Wendies - that I'd have to give it to him.

As for the original question - Brown's was a better goal, the technique on both was excellent, but Brown had more to do, and of course as good as it is to beat Leeds (again), Brown's was against pigs, which again gives it a slight edge over Sharp's.

However, what a great strike it was on Saturday, very pleased for Billy as many were doubting him.

Akinibiyi's averageness was forgotten for the goal he scored in the 1 nil win v Derby and the goal against the pigs. 6 points he gained for us that season when we got promoted so worth the money for that alone.
