Didn't they win final 4-1 Akinbiyi yesterday was a massive boost for us, as you say their midfield is worth more than our team. I know it's international break but I hope we can continue after as it's worked against us before, I wonder just what we have to do to get some proper praise. Apparently fat Garth was tipping 5 or 6-0 at HT bet he feels like a fat chump.

Their goalkeeper cost significantly more than our entire team, let alone their outfield players.

I don't know about you lot, but, as I know we're always shit after international breaks, I'm hoping we've learnt from that too!!!
I'm really looking forward to Soufhampton at the lane, but also a bit nervous too.
COYRAWW!

you can see every time he gets it he wants to make something happen.

I politely disagree - he never takes on his man, always turning back and passes it back towards defence/midfielders. We need him to be taking players on but he's barely done that

After the goal he was fantastic.
And keeping hold of possession, keeping the ball moving isn't a negative.

Careful. You’re in the land of High, Hard and Long...

Chelsea fans will be watching a lot of that.... GERRITUPTABRAHAM!
Leicester GERRITTOOERTOPFAVARDY!

Thing is, Frank is a fashionable coach and Brendan Rogers is a top coach.

Basic football, this is not.

Very happy with the result... But in 100% honesty have a tinge of 'what could have been' with us giving them too much respect in the first half.

Start the game with the same mindset as the second half and we never go in 2-0 down.

We'd have gone 1 nil up and sat back instead ;)

That’s because if he gets dispossessed we’re vulnerable to the counterattack. We play a possession based game. No one’s who’s just joined a team and hasn’t cemented his first team place wants to be the prat who loses possession trying to take players on and falling into the traps they’ve set. (Apart from David Luiz of course, who genuinely doesn’t give a shit).

Let’s be fair.
It’s a great point, but we were poor and wasteful in possession against nothing like a top 6 side. We were better second half and need to have that consistency. That is perhaps the worst we have defended for a long time.
That lot without additions in January will be lucky to get top 10.

I’m hoping we begin to get confident, pass the ball quicker and provide our forwards with better opportunities to get in the ball.

Areas we need to improve.
Hendo. His kicking is crap. Clears it well, but top keepers can hit areas almost every time while he’s overhitting it, or missing areas of our players by miles. Also, he’s slow to release the ball to our defence.
Robinson. Goal and assist, but like the rest of the forwards did little most of the time and weren’t really any threat to their defence. Mousset clearly has that extra pace to unsettle, but despite their effort we didn’t get near then and Chelsea far too often played out easily.
Robinson gives the ball away far too much.

It’s early days though, so plenty of time to settle down and improve.

Saying Hendo’s kicking is crap is like criticising a midfielder for being rubbish at throw ins. Handy, but hardly essential.

He can smack it miles and is able to take a backpass. He really doesn’t need more than that in our team.
