This title is so wrong. WestHam and mate in same sentence me ol China - you having a giraffe.

I don't quite know how to say this without shocking you, but I've got 4 or 5 good mates, all Irons!

Would yer Adam and eve it? No porkies, it's Irish, straight up.

You said we would hear news on season ticket sales in the next few days. I thought it unlikely due to no clear guidance in when/how many could attend from the govt and agree with our club for waiting.

Really don't see the point in selling them at all until there is more clarity. You dont know what you would be getting...how many games...when...even maybe who you can go with?

This thread is about attendance of games which is what season tickets is about surely? What else are you buying a season ticket for or what is the point in selling any if we cannot attend? Today's decision from BJ would cast doubt over October and any season tickets being sold anytime soon would you not think? So I feel is in line with the topic.[/QUOTE]

Don't get your point?

So some teams (7/20 is it..might be more?)..all incidentally with bigger grounds than us (3 pretty much double the size of the Lane so could have a lot more fans in) have already started or are selling tickets?

Can't see United have announced anything though. You said it would be the next few days that we would announce about season tickets. Where did you get this info about us having news on sales etc? Genuinelly interested. I might have missed a news story.

My point is with October now possibly being put back (hope I am wrong) not sure clubs will sell them yet/now if they have not already. Seems silly selling a product they can't provide. Seems a lot of admin / cash- going back and forth. I dont get how they can ask 23,000 to renew when they dont know how many games you will see (could be around 4 which is what they owe us anyway!). All this about you would get credit for 21-22 is messy too. Just think they are better waiting till we have more clarity on numbers/when. I think United are right waiting...why the rush?

Just my opinion. Not trying to get in an argument.

Anyway shouldn't his thread be in the section on tickets?! 😂 👍

Re-read my OP. I said "It looks like that we will be hearing season ticket details from SUFC in the next few days" I am expecting news soon, you are not expecting it. Let's agree on that!

Norwich news today - they’re hoping to offer every season ticket holder the opportunity to attend one game a month next season. They say they are asking the government to allow them to trial a pilot scheme from September

I would settle for that.

are they only letting pilots in

You and me both mate.

For all the ups and downs at the Lane I’ve never shed a tear, proper bloke, stiff upper lip and all that bollocks. But I start filling up just watching this.

I think there’s also a version on You Tube filmed by a Charlton fan from the BLLT that’s even better.

Its annoying that the two halves of the kop are always singing out of time to each other! Haha

So having not read all the thread, if we are reduced due to SD guidelines, will the selection of who can attend be randomised every home game?

I think the club are right to wait as this article suggests they are doing. No idea why clubs are in such a rush to get money in from fans! Joking apart, I think it's sensible for United to hold off. No point even looking at selling until they know numbers and when it will start. They are not even allowing a few hundred at non league yet so sadly think October is ambitious for large numbers to be going to Sport again.

I would not be surprised if the first games are really limited to a few thousand up to this side of Xmas if/when are fans are allowed in. Was the third of capacity confirmed by anyone official? Genuinely can't remember?

Depending where we are with the virus they will either open it up more gradually or if a 2nd wave comes then no-one will be going again for a while. It will go one of two ways. Hope for the former and be great if post Xmas the Lane can almost be full but worry that might not be case until at least 21-22 season.

Whatever happens next season is not going to be the same and I think days of full boozers, concourses, stands and stadium seems a fair way off. Sad that it is the best team we have had in my lifetime and we will not be there much to see the journey continue. 😞
