I'd be absolutely gutted if he was to leave.
However, if he actually is on 4k a week (unlikely), then I can't blame him for wanting more. He has a family to think about!
He has been a great servant to our club, and should be remembered fondly for the great work he has done.
He will leave eventually. They all will. I haven’t been gutted with a player leaving for years now. It’s inevitable. It’s a bit like life: enjoy what you have while you have it. Keep looking forwards, take pleasure in the memories of what’s gone. but start building tomorrow’s memories today.

Lines his pockets on the clubs side and the player's side, genious.
Wolves owners also own a share of Mendes’ agency. So they line their own pockets as well! Even more genius!

Surely at some point they're getting busted for some breach of rules. Or a £20 fine more realistically.

You’d like to think so. But it’s all out in the open, so I doubt it. Clever playing of ‘the rules’ is about all it is I guess.

He's by far, when played in his actual position, our best defender I'd say.

Bogle might be an occasional match winner but over a long season, Baldock is consistent and you know he'll be incredibly fit when he gets back to preseason training.

I just don't see them coming up with the cash.

For a 28 year old they probably think 6-8m range. But for what he brings to us, I'd say you'd need to be in the region of 10m-15m.

I know he's at the other end of the age spectrum but Burnley just paid 12m for the lad from Stoke who hasn't a single PL game under his belt yet. Baldock has shown himself to be PL level in a decent team and was one of the better players last season.

I just don't see Celtic paying what is needed. However they do need a right back quite desperately and they will make some money on Ajer, Eduoard and Christie. So I suppose it depends how desperate they are.

And how much Baldock wants to play champions league football as probably his last opportunity

Baldocks a cracking defender, but not a great wing back. He's wasteful with the ball in the final third. In a team like Celtic, who you'd assume spend most of their time trying to find openings against teams sitting deep, I'm not sure why they'd go for his type.

Baldock to Norwich, Watford, Burnley etc. would seem a better fit for player & club & he wouldn't let them down. As for price, I'd be disappointed not to get closer to £10m. Hard to find someone as fit, dedicated & strong defensively as he is.

Pretty much this, everyone knows his strengths defensively and limitations going forward. A top level right back, but not a wing back.

Been an excellent signing and great servant for the club and would be sad to see him go.

However for the right price could be the right time to part ways? In Bogle we've a long term replacement who is possibly more suited to the 'modern' game through attacking output. With Slav style to be attacking and possession based, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bogle get the nod anyway.

I also think he'd be less problematic to replace than others in the squad

all speculation it will be down to slav who stays and who goes as for baldock hes certainly a better right back than wing back but who knows we might be playing with a back 4 next season in any case it has to be 12m minimum imo

Unless the price offered is over the top the we keep him as he is under contract for another 3 years and he is fit as a fiddle, dedicated to the cause, settled personally, and he is a very good player at championship level. To get promoted you need players like this over a 46 game season.

Silly money or we keep him for a season at least. After that then maybe you can give a case for allowing him to move on for a cheaper price if it was an upwards move in his career as a trade off for him really giving it a go with us this season.

Would hate to see him leave, really good defender and very good going forward, the final ball i.e his crosses could do with improving but going forward he creates so much for us, not just with the ball but he has an unbelievable engine and his runs have created so much space with the over lapping and led to goals.

As much as I'd hate him to go especially to a rival club here, I would be happy for him to go to Celtic, a great club and he could possibly play in Champions League and I would love to see that because he is a model professional and deserves it.

Great defender but very wasteful at the other end.

Probably his last chance of a big move/playing in Europe.

Bogle may be first choice next season so could we turn down decent money for who is more than likely going to be a back up player?

were not going to get really big money for either of em so i would keep both of em

Some Crank comments here….Bogle scored goals and was dangerous creatively.

He’s significantly younger and inexperienced however also dropping to a level where he was excellent 2 seasons ago! He’s got loads of room to develop defensively however, given that we are expected to be on the front foot and controlling most games the defensive aspect may not be the most critical for us.

So…if the Money for a player at the top of his value due to age and experience is right, we can let him go if that means we have the option to keep players like Ramsdale and Berge. I don’t see a problem, a few changes is inevitable and will refresh the team.

Would prefer to keep him and in reality it could be just pure speculation but judging by current prices (12m for Collins at Stoke, 16m+ for Cash last season) then George with his Premier league experience and 3 years left on his contract must surely be in the region of 12-15m. That may sound excessive to some but we are talking current market value despite COVID.

I really like George, he's got so many of the qualities you want in a good defender...but, we've a new manager who appears to have all the attributes required so this is the key to whatever success we have this coming season. I hope GB is part of this, but it's the quality of the manager's decision making that will be the difference for us.

i dont think it would be too much to put a 15m price tag on his head but i for one would like to see him stay at the lane

Have to agree. I think £9-12m.
