Agree. Gilchrist, Souttar, Anel, and Burrows as starters. Seriki and Shackleton cover right back; Robinson and RND (and Gilchrist with a shuffle) cover centre back. McCallum and RND cover left back. If Anel goes we will need someone though.

Let's take a step back here. Everytime we sell a player so far this window. New one comes in. So all this tenner men talk about, that's it we have not replaced them is premature. Looking forward to tomorrow with our 3 new signings.

The issue is we needed players BEFORE selling others. Now new signings will be to replace the outgoings, meaning we still need those players we originally needed.

There has to be a plan in place to get the squad numbers and cover sorted in these scenarios, my worry is that having seen the kids getting a run out they are the plan for depth.

The only player that looked their actual ability last season was JLT. We spent relatively low fees on young talent last season which was the only silver lining in them not being up to it.

Rather than develop them at a lower level, we've cut and run. Hope we've made the right decision on Trusty, Slimani and Traore.

Souza has also played there. So not as if I’m a crisis we couldn’t shift him back and move a Hamer or Shackleton into midfield.

Trusty has probably been better than Robinson and Ahmedhodzic in his appearances this season, but that says more about them than him.

I wonder if Johnston was up for coming here, only to change his mind when West Brom came calling as he was there last season and will know the players, manager and set up etc.
