Sorry but i have a feeling that they will do to us what we did to them when we played them at home.

Keep the faith CBB...if they do to us what we did to them earlier this season..................cue meltdown mayhem...

This season though feels so much like the season we went up under DB culminating in the foxes ground being taken over by the blades.......everybody has underestimated us, written us off when we got promoted from "pub league to la liga", it was on a wonderful sept 24th that the football world was awoken to a cataclysmic event that shook the footballing world...and ten's of thousands of deluded souls...

never been in there mate so not sure, that's only a few minutes from me though so I might give it a go if you'd recommend it

It's on in the Clubhouse London Rd. Loads of screens and packed with Blades.

Porter Brook has the most unwelcoming bar staff in town. When it's not busy they start stacking the chairs and cleaning up long before last orders, and ban people from sitting in the back yard by the river. Should have the footie on tonight though and have loads of modern TVs

14th draw of the season for Villa tonight.

I'll be watching it in the Banner Cross - a bit further up Eccy Road but, apart from the result, I enjoyed watching the Swansea game in there.

Watching us away on Sky is always a cliche chore. Don Goodman, Gary Birtles and more recently David Prutton comparing us to the alien villains from Spacejam. We also mostly lose.

To make you feel that 1% more optimistic try and source out my Top 5 Blades on Sky Away Performances (omitting Bouncing day) in no specific order:

Boro 97/98 - Dane Whitehouse winner
Reading 08/09 - Brian Howard I think?
Portsmouth 02/03 - Classic Warnock shithousery and Paddy Kenny playing with crutches
Leeds 17/18 - Satisfying
Coventry 16/17 - Personal favourite

Excellent choices. They are all instantly memorable. Another that sticks in my head is the 4-2 win at Grimsby under Kendall – think Whitehouse got a couple in that one.

I watched that in The Green Man in Soho having stayed overnight at a friend's in London after a Cardiacs gig (it was just before I moved down that way permanently). It became evident after ten minutes that the only two people watching the game were myself and the bloke sitting next to me at the bar. He turned out to be a Grimsby fan and we had a jolly good time, chatting about the beautiful game and going through all the agony and ecstacy that only a 4-2 can bring to both sets of supporters.

Why leave your best player out ( Duffy ) he's the main man and can do 90 mins as well. Hope and pray this doesn't blow up in Chris's face.

I think Dowell could have his best game so far tonight.

Think I’m less positive by this plan in general than others. I was at Norwich and thought we were very slow to get going, saw far less of the ball than usual, retained it far less than we did usually, and that while Madine did well Dowell looked a bit lost for a lot of it (particularly when off the ball). However, I fully accept that this was a) their first start, and b) away at one of the teams of the division. Here’s hoping it’s a masterstroke if team selection.

Wilder has all the gps data on Duffy and watched hours of his movement during every game.
The fact he drops him suggests he runs out of steam or getting close to the danger zone where he picks up injuries.
I dont know for 100% certain but logic suggest there must be a valid reason why Wilder doesn’t play our most creative player all the time.

Anyway at least both Duffy and McGoldrick are both fantastic options to come off the bench.
Weird to imagine that we’re so good these days that 2 of my favourite players are not even in the starting line up.

Just hope we can these levels up . We're doing this blades .

Very good half that. We look well on it. Excellent goal (great assist by Madine).

Only concern is that we seem to have sat back towards the end of that half. Villa are still very much in it, and I think we might need another.

One minor gripe – Madine’s diving. I’d have hoped Wilder might have had a word after Norwich. If he did, he probably needs to repeat it – embarrassingly laughable collapsing to the ground. He’s a better player than that, as evidenced by the rest of his performance.

No worries on the Basham booking. I said over a week ago that this was the preferred game to pick it up given the potential two-in-a-row he’d have to miss.
