One things for sure this lineup will have thrown the villa management's prematch plans in the toilet, because I wasn't expecting it, not that it will do much good but it's nice to think that their backroom staff will be running about like headless chickens, mind you after 5 minutes their notes will show that Norwood and Souza can't play together and larouche is rubbish at defending

Not entirely sure that BBC sport have got that lineup exactly right. Baldock playing RM? Slimane playing CDM with Souza further forward?

More likely it's Baldock RB, Souza CDM and Bogle RM.

Didn’t think I’d see Norwood starting again, we’ve definitely had our moneys worth out of him but he’s easily nullified in this league and it bends the rest of our midfield out of shape to accommodate him. Clearly saving our ‘best’ team for Boxing Day and don’t want to lose key players through bookings. I cant really fault the logic, Villa are on fire, but a shame for the 3000 that have travelled that we‘re pretty much writing this off.
