I’d stick with Souttar & Gilchrist as RCBs, and pick up a new RB. Then also sign a first choice LCB; not sold on JLT in a two or Trusty full stop.

Just an observation but nearly every aerial challenge Gilchrist had with his marker at Preston ( can’t remember much of QPR match) he lost the header. Not sure where that leaves him as a CB?

On the Doyle transfer, rumour was he desperately wanted to join us, but we didn't like the look of his wages or a relegation clause in the contract.

In the end he was a make weight in an FFP fiddle between Man City and Wolves, so it was academic really, we were already carved out of it.

If we were swapping Anel for Doyle I'd do that all day long.

I loved watching Doyle play and he was a 100%er.

I've enjoyed watching Anel play but he's a long way shy of 100% and turned into a mardyarse. I'd shift him on if I were in charge.

i agree if we continue to play 4231 tommy doyle would be the ideal partner for arblaster in the 2 much sooner have him there than souza wonder if wilder might be thinking similar and test wolves with that one if wolves do go for anel

I'm still unsure as to why we brought in Souttar unless it was because Anel was leaving which just seems fair enough to me so we e already got the Anel replacement.

I do t think Anel staying is essential, we need Souttar in the team in my view anyway. Hopefully if he does go we can buy or loan a decent centre forward and possibly a right back too.

I always find this a bizarre take, and this isn’t a dig at you…..just an observation in general. McLaren, Rolls Royce, Boeing and many other large engineering companies didn’t have the opinion Sheffield wasn’t a good place to come to when they invested hundreds of millions in to the city and built research facilities and factories here. I guess it depends if Wilder can motivate him to want to stay. I liked Hecky, but think one of Wilde's best attributes is getting players to want to play for us.

Agreed don't think I've seen anything that shows he is vital to a promotion push this season. In fact haven't seen anything post glandular fever.

Even Souza has shown more effort and application than Anel so far.

Stunned the amount of people who rate Anel as one of our top players.

The sulking baby is that good he got the armband taken off him. His attitude stinks and I don't care he scored a few goals 2 years ago as an attacking CB.
