They're not well run, ask Burnley fans although they're definitely better than who we've got and had! They also have parachute payments. When we got relegated from the Premier with Burnley we'd already sold Ndiaye and Berge, the latter to Burnley of course. They both had one year to run on their deals sadly. They had a much better team than us and spent much more money than us mainly the £100m when they got promoted whereas we spent about £40m including left field signings like Benie Traore, Yasser Larouchi and Ben Slimane! You can thank the Prince for those deals. Vinny Souza was the only foreign successful signing.
They gambled more than what we did and their recruitment has been better than said transfers we bought in who were mainly crap. Archer deal was effectively a loan of course so from that £40m we got £15m back. That was an awful deal. If they don't go up this season I expect you'll see Burnley will be struggling next summer.
Saying all that, I'd rather we had the Burnley owners than our current owners or the Prince for that matter which is where a lot of blame should be labeled at for where we are now. Had we not had Ndiaye then we'd have been screwed.
We of course would have had the Burnley owners but the Prince won over McCabe.
