It is hidden away at the bottom of the article about cooper likely to reject the role of no 2 at hillsborough.
Must admit cannot say I blame him, forget the rivalry, but why would an established manager want to go and work as a number 2 to a guy who, I assume he has no previous experience of working with. Does appear that they are setting themselves up for a fall. One thing about committees is that yiu always have someone else to blame.
In simplistic terms the coach did not buy the players and the bloke(s) who bought them does not coach them, oh and non of them seem to have worked together before.

81 goals in 10 years as a pro. Scored over 20 once, that in a very free-scoring Swindon team. Let Scunthorpe have him.

Agreed mate ...... we need a big, strong, fast proven goalscorer to lead the line. Even if we have to sell Jim's daughter into slavery to fund it !!!

Do we actually look like signing anyone?? Very very quiet on the transfer front at present.

It's mid June. Very quiet everywhere on the transfer front as it always is at this time of year.

It always tumbles from the top down and apart from Bournemouth none of the top flight clubs have done any significant business yet.

Funny thought of football . If i had been in a coma and just woke up , then reading Bournemouth top flight club , i would think i was still in a coma but dreaming . How times change.

Hooray!!

I have seen a lot of Williams over the last few years, can be excellent when in form, absolute shit and lazy when not.

When he went back to Yeovil on loan he was very poor - and my Swindon supporting work colleagues often said last season he was none present at times.

I am sure we would have had a couple of 20+ goal strikers in our team last season if we had taken the shackles off and played players in true positions.

Give me Matty Done any day!!

It is bonkers but at the same time I wish them loads of luck. Great to see them have their moment.

I work down at AFC Bournemouth .

If we think Adkins has bucket loads of positive confidence , then a day with Eddie Howe , you would believe you could fly if he said you could . The guy is contagious in his self belief .

There is many parallels between Howe and Adkins , who both work on the same principles and phycological thought process. Bournemouth is a dream ( with belief , grit , determination ) showing what you can still achieve from being down and out , but also by playing football.

I do a lot of work in the Dorset area myself, I like the area and the people. It deserves a good football team.

If Donny go down, would he be worth a bid?

Had a fantastic season with Swindon and has been pretty decent for Doncaster most of this season. Clough had all but finalised a deal for him before he got the chop, so he's seen the stadium and training facilities etc and obviously liked what he saw.

I reckon he'd be just the type of player we all wanted Sammon & Higdon to be for us. Even if they dont get relegated we should still make a move. Surely we're a bigger attraction to him than them??

I think so. He's scored consistently for 2 seasons now. He's not been as prolific this season but a ratio of 1 in 3 for a frankly awful Donny Rovers side.

Ah, the Impossible Dream.
