You would rather us to sign Frank Fielding?6 month deal. Not sure how I feel about that but I'm guessing that gives him the option to find a better salary in the summer. Whilst it's prudent business, it's also another alarm bell in terms of our salary structure.
It's a 6 month deal purely because his Stoke contract had 6 months to run.I'm disappointed this is a short-term deal. Perfect opportunity to sign a number one for the next 3-5 years but looks like we can't even manage to pay £10-15k pa for players anymore over anything than 6 months. Oh well. I guess, if he wants to get a better deal in summer, the motivation is there to be really good for him. I suspect this explains the delay. we couldn't meet his demands. We'll likely have the same issue in summer then.
We were in the premier league 8 months ago, and now half the fan base are chuffed with signing Stoke’s 3rd choice keeper to compete for our number one spot with Wes Foderingham on a 6 month deal. It beggars belief.A lot more worrying if you support Reading, Derby, Wednesday and a host of other mismanaged and impecunious clubs.

That after we signed an international goalkeeper with champions league experience on loan who was an absolute flop.We were in the premier league 8 months ago, and now half the fan base are chuffed with signing Stoke’s 3rd choice keeper to compete for our number one spot with Wes Foderingham on a 6 month deal. We are absolutely skint, already.
He literally played against us 3 months ago and I'd never heard of him eithernever heard of him, cant say that i’m excited about what stoke fans are generally saying is a very average keeper in league 1. Ambition levels 2/10.
Can shake your head all you want fella. Let’s just sign players with mediocre to below average at best championship careers for the rest of eternity then shall we?That after we signed an international goalkeeper with champions league experience on loan who was an absolute flop.
A bit of context is required me thinks... smh
At the most a nominal oneVery much doubt there was a transfer fee involved
Half a dozen previous posts to this you are lamenting our finances, and at the same time complaining about who we are signing, one directly impacts the other. Can shake your head all you want fella. Sorry, not seen anything about option to extend in summer? It's a 6 month deal purely because his Stoke contract had 6 months to run.
We've essentially taken over that contract, but also secured the pre-agreed option of extending it in the summer. Nothing to do with meeting, or failing to meet, demands.
i am fine, you seem to have a problem complaining about bargain basement signings, then complaining we are skint, while also arguing we could and should be able to attract far better players BUT the infrastructure needs sorting because its crapAre you oreyt you?
Of course it impacts the other, we’re fucking skint, you’ve got to ask why. That’s the crux of the issue.
Sorry, not seen anything about option to extend in summer?
I would hazard a guess that we may pay a fee if we decide to extend his contract but a very nominal one. I think for now we have just taken over his contract. At the most a nominal one
No way ! do we pay £250,00
For six months
There’s a difference between having limited available cash and being in a financial mess.We were in the premier league 8 months ago, and now half the fan base are chuffed with signing Stoke’s 3rd choice keeper to compete for our number one spot with Wes Foderingham on a 6 month deal. True, but how does that make their position any better, if anything it highlights how sensible we are now being so that we have a club to support in the years to come.None of those were 6th to the top of the prem less than 2 years ago
