Adam Davies today

I didn't see the game today (lucky me by the sounds of it) but I look on here and see no threads about our goalkeeper which I guess means he played well, cos I'm pretty sure there were many just waiting for him to give any reason to slaughter him...would someone who attended mind providing a reasonable and balanced review? As a keeper myself I, for one, really hope he had a good game. Cheers.

He had a good game. Fair play to him. One of the only ones who can hold his head high today.

He was decent enough today and made a good save down low when West Brom went through on goal. One of his kicks was a bit wayward but I thought he played quite well.

His distribution is one advantage he has over Cooper. Miles better. He looked more calm and in control less hare in the headlights. The cross/come shot to the nearest post was good instinct to palm/fist away.

Accurate, to be fair to him he had no chance with their goal however disappointing with the defence that didn’t close him down, it was preventable

With how bad Cooper has been getting down to low shots this season I'm not convinced he'd have made the Save Davies made in the second half down to his right. But as you say, a good championship keeper should be making them.

Just strange that you'd chosen to say he had no impact, when he clearly did. But I suppose giving Davies credit isn't the "cool" thing to do on here...

He looked really svelt in all black. It took pounds off him and I think he would have felt better for it. His cry of "KEEEEPER!" when he came out to pluck one high ball from the air made me jump out of my skin. And I was in High Hazels Park at the time, walking the dog, I wasn't even at the game.

One of his kicks ! His kicking was worse than coopers in fact we were pissing our sens as
three times he hoofed the ball upfield into nowhere when all players were on the other side of the pitch

Davies is the least of our problems. Played fine today, and saved one low shot that (on this season’s performance at least) Cooper would likely have let in.

He did pretty well to be fair. His distribution is quite poor, there’s an inability to play out from the back when Davies plays, so we tend to just go long. Apart from that he did everything he needed to & certainly wasn’t the issue

He's risen to the occasion so far. Not much he could do about the equaliser.
