I don't see too much with this.
I think we were spoilt the season before, with Deano - with his performances, presence, maturity and integrity. Anyone would struggle to compare with that, and Ramsdale was always fighting an up hill battle.
That's a huge pressure to come in under.
Then, he wasn't very good. Pure and simple. He was getting pelters, which when you consider that he backs his own ability, will have been hard to take. That will bring a pressure and perhaps some resentment and disconnection from the club/fanbase, even if only on a miniscule level.
Then, he turned it around and found brilliant form. He proved many of us wrong. He may have thought us an easily fickle bunch at that point, singing his praises.
Then, if what he says is true about the backtracking on promises/bids, I can see how his understanding would be thin. Wonder who that could be? Sounds a bit snakey.

I've got a lot of time for Foster, he records these just down the road from us, he's clearly a bright, articulate, genuine guy, with a real likeability and he comes across really well. He's already umpteen times better than many of those who've been shoehorned into punditry roles. As far as Ramsdale's interview goes, he's been nothing but transparent, we're just not used to hearing it this candidly. IMO, this is where things like the Spurs or City documentaries have come into their own. Accessibilty the like of which we've never known before.
As for Foster, it's his likeability that gets players to relax, gets them chatting. It's not that Ramsdale is a bell end as such, but that Foster earns that transparency in the interview - and if someone at United did betray promises, it's easy to see why Ramsdale would be a bit fucked off.
Interesting to hear that the squad were able to see that the new manager/last summer wasn't going well at an early stage, I wonder what they noticed?
I wish Ramsdale no ill, but I equally don't feel any great affinity to him either. I hope he has a good career.
