It looks grey at some angles and white in the light, I understand what you mean, I'm still undecided, but the home is better than last year's in my eyes.

Have we seen the Masterb8 kits from South Barnsley yet??

Home one is decent, better than the last two. 7/10.

Love the away one. Blades should always be in white away from home. 9/10.

67F5C9BC-7D57-4A56-973A-40C9D35F2948.jpegSponsor looks well on it to be fair. Don’t think it would have worked with the blue in the Union Jack as well.

It’s quite underwhelming for me. It’s nowhere near as nice as our L1 promotion kit (best ever) and not as nice as our first year back in the Championship kit. It probably ranks third out of all our adidas home kits. Non-striped back for teams who traditionally play on stripes really irritates me. And a bit of stripes on the back just looks forced.

Really like the away kit. Nice we finally used red as the secondary colour/trim. Sponsor looks very big though. No white box but looks like it’s been sized up the same as the white box on last years.

Will we ever get a simple yellow shirt/red shorts combo for the away? Hopefully while adidas is involved.

Really don’t see any need for a third this year so I doubt we will.

Surprisingly decent home kit, away one is a bit ‘meh’. Will still buy it though.

I understand what you are saying and i agree, yeah, that is the way music is going. I respect that. I just don't see the relevance of "grime" in relation to a kit launch and believe the club could have marketed this better of aiming for the younger generation.

I could be wrong and it's just my opinion but i wasn't keen.

Santan Dave, never heard of him if honest, it's definitely moved on from Chas n Dave!

UTB!

4,400+ likes and 1,100+ retweets after two hours. The Instagram posts are doing similar numbers. Not really sure how much better it could be?

It's fine if you don't like the track, but for me they've done a sterling job.

Both kits look good, they look like United kits should, you can always find something to be unhappy about but on the whole very pleased, the music video? Couldn't give a fuck, but some like a moan so if that's all they have to moan about jobs a good un

Also it's not the younger generation really, younger than CJBlade probably, but the main catchment age for grime is probably kids to 30's which is a pretty bloody big range.

Also it's trendy innit, so people will watch it for the song which is good for our social media clout.

For anybody still in doubt that our social media team are getting things absolutely spot on at the moment, have a peek at this shite...

You say that but the dig klopp/pool is excellent 😂

As for the shirt I think they’re both very, very good. I personally feel the Adidas shirts are getting better each season... that away shirt though is outstanding.

Front of the home kit is awesome and it is rightly shown a lot in the promotion ….however they don’t show the back of the the home shirt very much because its Man U…..shite back so won’t be buying it no stripes.....If stripes were on the back it would indeed be awesome.....100% front 0% Back

Get a number 10 on the back and it makes all the difference.

Cant believe the marketing / commercial management at our Football Club.
The new kits look fantastic and there'll be loads of kids (especially) nagging their parents for one.
However, hang on, If I've read things correctly, the kids / junior kits are actually going to look totally different (in any child's mind) as a result of having a different sponsor on the front . . . . WTF?!
Kids can be picky at the best of times and if they don't look like their 'Hero' then there could be a problem brewing.
Unbelievable cock up by the club IF true?!

Aye it's a fucker this parenting malarkey
Best advice is buy him/ her a pair of Rick Owens high tops & an Aquascutum anorak ( with goggles in the hood) as compensation / consolation

Otherwise send the ungrateful ( but inevitably traumatised) twat to bed wi'art any tea

Just on the price, last season our shirts went up £2 and I wondered if it was anything to do with the fact we had some super posh Adidas climacool knitted fabric on the front (also possible that this is why we had a white back, expense) - it made the shirt really nice to wear in comparison with other shirts we've had because it was cotton like.

Well this season, the red stripes are the same material as last season, with the ribs across, but the white stripes look to be some kind of honeycomb pattern, another 2 quid from there?

Plus stripes partially on the back, and an embroidered neck and for me, that's where the £8 comes from.

United are probably not making much, if any, more money.

Like both kits and plan to buy both, which I’ve never done before.

I think the key is it’s gets the balance right between being fancy/ complicated and being simple/ classy
But the significant positive is that the shirt sponsor logo matches the shirt and I love that the sponsors emblem is similar to the Union Jack.
Remember the days when we’d have a big white square with the sponsors name in it

And an excellent video.....the music will never please everybody especially the old fuddy duddy.

Alot of Marketing experts on here.

As a student and graduate of Marketing at University and subsequently living and breathing marketing principles and practices for the last 10 years of my career, I think it's a job well done by Sheffield United's commercial team.

Of course, the fan base is wide and varied so you're not going to please everyone. However, the Commercial team would've done their research on who buys replica kits and who doesn't. It's clear the younger gen do the buying and the even younger gen do the pestering.

The video content is great. I'm not a massive fan of grime but I understand it as a movement and how it speaks to the youth of today much like the bands of the 90's did for me and my dad moaning about how shite they were.

Two local lads in Coco and Toddla T and combining the Blades related rap with the release of it on Spotify is a great example of integrated Marketing and seeking added value. A blade behind the camera too by all accounts is another fantastic decision. Just look at Southampton's Che Adams video on Twitter and you'll know our video is good.

If you don't like it, you're probably attending games in your anorak and GoOutdoors thermals.

I don't like grime, I don't detest it but I have never chosen to put a grime track on, but I watched it and appreciated the lyrics and execution of it.

And understood that it'd be bloody popular with the non moaning old gits which is the generation we want to be drawing in if we're going to keep thriving.

Well done United.

I attend games wearing my anorak and Go Outdoors trousers,it’s a nice combo, that is both stylish and practical.

I like the home shirt but not enough to buy one. The underlying design is great - perfect width stripes, colours spot on, fabric looks good but the adidas logo and Blades badge are too far across (clearly to get them into a stripe rather than sitting across two) and the USG logo just doesn't look right to me. It's the same with the sponsor on the away shirt. I'd also love to get Balham Jr a minikit but £45 for a 2-and-a-half year old is a little excessive.

That said, I did commiserate by shelling out on this beauty on ebay:

Best kit in years, maybe ever in post 1990's.

Such a shame that junior kits will look different though. I get the charity idea, but the primary reason why kids love getting REPLICA shirts is that they are identical to what their hero's wear. My boy will be gutted his shirt will 'look different' to those worn by the first team. So essentially, not a replica kit at all. Such a shame for the little ones.

1996/7
2007/8
2017/8

This is no where near them

Bert only possess 2 United shirts, both given to him and he's never worn them.
The 125 year thing and this one.

Best away shirt EVER

Tbh I think that’s not bad at all. Red is better than white as a back and it still has stripes on the back. It will easily be identifiable as United from the back which wasn’t the case last season when at time we looked to be playing in all white.
The number and name will be easily read too which will help me identify all these new players on their way.
