How many times have we actually voted for kits?

I remember one about 2008ish maybe. I only remember because one of the kits changed the red to a sort of horrible raspberry.

I remember that it was in a programme at least 2 seasons in the 90’s with a number to vote for each kit. Votes would have been taken by fax but we all know how that turns out.

Ah, well I was but a lad at the time. The one I remember was pre social media or very early social media, maybe Friends Reuineted, MySpace and Bebo haha, think you voted on the website though - could be wrong.

With the way social media is though now, they'd put it on twitter and it'd be abused somehow by opposition fans.

The way to do it now is email to registered fans with a certain amount of loyalty points I'd say, but generally I think the public don't know what they want anyway, I'm happy to let the club sort it.

Those are only our little lads doing the modelling. When O'Connell and Egan put the shirt on it's going to look as if the badge is too near the middle.

Disagree mate, a larger shirt isn't going to bring the position of the badge/sponsor closer to the centre of the shirt. Medium is the most popular sized shirt for both players and consumers anyway, so I don't understand your argument that it'll look better for larger shirts...why is that a good thing, even if it was true?

How difficult is it to design a simple red and white shirt... there's a problem with them most years. I'm not a fashion designer, but some of the flaws are ridiculous and should be condemned rather than say "oh it'll look less shit on the larger shirts". I've wanted to buy a decent home shirt since the 17/18 season - but the last 2 designs have been poor. Frustrating.

Larger shirt means larger person, and extra stripe on either side so the badges are more central on the person, not the kit.

The last 2 kits on the large sizes have looked like the badges are too close on the larger kits.

Anyway, I think the photoshoot kits might have been slightly different because the badges don't look as close to the armpits on some other pictures.

So has the club confirmed if the away kit is white or is it actually silver grey as rumoured before the launch???

I can't decide which it is from the video and pic.

I’m pretty sure it was limited to the Avec era and was prompted by the horror show of that 95/96 kit, with the vote resulting in the marvellous kit the following season.

Seems we do have red option shorts for the away kit.

The red shorts with the grey/white away top looks shit hot to be honest. I'm a big fan.

Even with all kit configurations, we'll surely need a third kit against Southampton away?

Aye. I can see us using the lime green to be honest. Think Fulham and Cardiff did the same last season, previous away kit with new sponsor (if required).

Seems daft to have a third kit for one game.

One positive that should DEFINITELY be taken from the away kit is that it’s bespoke. It’s not available as a standard template in that colour variation for twenty-odd quid. Leicester have two change strips and both are readily available as blank shirts... 💩

I thought we’d moved on from the era of ‘random panelling’ with football kits? The red shorts combo looks well but what is that white block all about - absolutely no need.

I imagine it's a white trim along the bottom at the back. No need for it

Been to the club shop after work and seen the new kit up close - it looks great and i don't normally go overboard on kits. The detail up close really sells it.

I even don't mind the videp rap, and i hate rap :p

Didn't notice that, it is a bit 2013.

Have they got the kits in the window or are they just pictures?

Might have a drive over tomorrow to have a closer look before pre-ordering.

Wasn't the 02/03 kit the result of a fan poll?

I can’t remember that tbh – I can only remember posting in my vote. If it was 02/03 too then it presumably have been online voting (which might explain why I don’t remember it if it happened)

Think the new kits looks decent. We'll look how we should, donning the red and white. Wouldnt mind either a 3rd gold/yellow or black kit though. Home kit def has that "next tier" look to it. COYRAWW
