I thought we played well for about 25/30 minutes in the second half, apart from that I was quite worried. The defence really needs sorting out. Individually they are all good footballers, even Collins can be at times, but they are not gelling in my eyes.

However, the spirit we showed after we went 2-0 was incredible, and that is in no small part down to the fans. i think we can all give ourselves a pat on the back there :)

I think we need a confident centre back to partner Maguire, especially since Collins and Simmo can't really fill him with much confidence themselves.

100% so far though, so maybe I'm spouting a load of old bollocks!

UTB!

Collins was head and shoulders above Maguire last night

my god my last nights match stressful as Sheffield United dont play well for 60 mins go 2-0 down but simonsen did have a howler for 0-1 and but simonsen was all bad last night as he rescued the dodgy defense many times in 1st half as i thought Defense was good when they were in place but we were very dodgy when walsall counter attacked

but i did always think at 0-0, 0-1 & 0-2 was that 1 goal would change the game for Sheffield United but i just couldn't see where that goal would come from but we score luckly with lowton & all of a sudden the final passes that players where trying were finally coming off & walsall seemed to freeze & tried to defend too deep but then Sheffield United finally fight back to 3-2 and that curled goal for 2-2 with williamson was amazing. but i heart was in my mouth when the walsall shot seemed to take forever to hit the post at 3-2.

but was annoyed at the Referee but not becasue he gave most decison to walsall but because he was so inconsistent that many times the Referee gave fouls to walsall but then did nothing if walsall did the same to us. i thought we had 5 penalty shouts 2 realistic 1 with mendiz-laing shoved off ball in box in 1st half & then Cresswell 1 that was given

Quinny was outstanding in the second half. We MUST keep him.

I never, ever thought I would hear the day the Kop sang "Stephen Quinn my Lord"

i said same thing last year as i said he deserved the Player of year award as i thought if Stephen Quinn left in august 2010 window then i wouldn't be bothered but if Stephen Quinn left in January 2011 window then i very annoyed as Stephen Quinn has imporved quite a lot

I thought we turned up looking we thought we only had to turn up to win last night, so hopefully it's the kick up the arse we need.

As soon as we got the first goal back I didn't think their players could deal with the atmosphere and the onslaught of attacks that followed. It turned out to be a massive win, and for me the best one so far. To win playing poorly like we did last night gives me more optimism than the two where we've looked more comfortable.

Fingers crossed it is a wake up call and we start well against Tranmere because they've started much better than anyone expected!

above comment is exactly what i was thinking

but in a way as bad the perfromance was that match was great for us & exactly what Sheffield United needed. because from what watched the first 60 mins seemed like the players were playing like the fans were thinking that Sheffield United will win by turning up as Sheffield United have won 3 in a week comfabtably & this is Walsall who battled relegation last year and Walsall took advantage of it and should have take 3 pts if it weren't for them freezing at 1-2 also that match should help to get a kick up backside, remind the players & fans (inculding me) if it needed to be say that league 1 wont be a walkover
