Well done Blades. Professional performance to put 10 men to bed after a very scrappy first 40 mins.

Thought we looked the most likely from the start and apart from the 2 wingers (who couldn’t cross) they had very little. The commentators said they had 3 touches in our box in the first 30 mins and no more after that so they were never in the game as an attacking force and were obviously playing for a 0-0 until 60 mins then a roll of the dice.

We created a lot of good chances and the red card and penalty seemed to come after a period of pressure by us.

Cannon and Bamford looked a handful and we got the ball forward much more quickly for the most part, although we did slow things down and give it away far too much to start with.

The back 4 with tonight’s starters is 10x better than what we were seeing at the start of the season. Tanganga and Mee seem to compliment each other.

Seriki and Brooks are far from the finished article individually and as a pair but there’s more intent down the right with those 2 playing.

I still think Jairo and Peck give the ball away too much at times but we look a lot more solid with the pair of them anchoring the midfield and O’Hare doing the pressing.

Great to see Hamer back, you just don’t give him that much time in that area do you?! Ings looks effective and but for him living offside he’d have scored.

We’ve comfortably beaten some shit pigs and a poor 10 man Pompey. Leicester will be a different proposition so let’s see how we play in that game before we get too excited. We should have enough to stay up from the last couple of games though, with some key players still to return and January to replace the likes of Barry and Bindon as well.

Another hollow victory. Winning against a team that’s not as good as us, and also down to 10 men, just doesn’t feel worth celebrating.

Sorry, I’ve been reading too may Wednesday Tweets!

It’s a cliche that it’s hard plying against 10 men but often we have proved it to be true, but I thought we were superb in the second half last night. For the first time this season I see a team that is too good to be where we are.
