Re: the team, I'd be surprised if he doesn't just go with Fleck, Norwood and Doyle with it being away.

Just a question of fitness if he opts to play Khadra instead of McBurnie from the start.

I'd like to think Doyle is getting to occupy more of the Berge role on the right of Fleck is in rather than a flat three.

A front three of Doyle, N'Diaye and Khadra looks skillful if we do need to rest McBurnie. Otherwise same again with Robinson in for Anel and Arblaster on the bench as suggested.

Depends on fitness and the need to rotate. In an ideal world we'd rest Fleck, Osborn, Baldock and Mcburnie. With the exception of Baldock they looked knackered the other day.

I'd go Wes, Balock, Basham, Egan, Robinson (if he's anything like), Stevens; Fleck (needs must), Norwood, Doyle, Ndiaye, Sharp.

I'd look at replacing Fleck with Osborn as the game goes on. Or the other way around. I don't think we can change shape as we simply don't gave the midfielders to cover the space. A big shame.

Despite the absentees it is still a strong line up. To give some contrast, the team that beat West Ham 1-0 at home in the Premier League looked like this with only four real differences:

Whilst we loved Henderson I think plenty are now settled with Wes.

O'Connell is no doubt a huge loss though Robbo was reaching very consistent levels before injury and has proved to be a capable, aggressive and competent centre back at this level.

Lundstram had a purple patch but Doyle has slotted in very nicely.

Didzy we all love but N'Diaye is promising to reach levels well above.

It may be early for Stevens to step in for Osborn but the point being there is plenty of good experience and knowhow in this team for when we play tomorrow. Hopefully a few can roll back the years and get us a second win on the spin.

If Khadra gets a start tomorrow I think it will be one of his last opportunities to impress I get the feeling Hecky is losing a bit of trust in him

We need to keep the midfield 3, we looked to have a much better shape. I'd rest McBurnie. Bring him on with 20/30 to go. I think we have to have Arblaster/Brooks on the bench and give them minutes. Losing the 3 destroys any cover for the defenders. I don't think Ndiaye can do more than 60 either. I'd be tempted to maybe gamble with McAtee or Khadra next to Sharp but it's a huge gamble.

Fleck played really well in this fixture last season. I wonder whether we'll start him, and then bring on McAtee or Blaster after 45-60 mins, depending on how the games going.

I’ve assumed yes but really, who knows? I think he needs minutes before the WC to help him get towards match sharpness but I guess he’ll have been assessed today and they’ll have another look tomorrow.
I don’t think Stevens could do a full half yet, hence going for Os at LWB for the first hour or so.
Likewise, I’m not sure how Ndiaye is and if he’s good for a full 90. It just seems such a drop in quality to replace him with Khadra or McAtee.
I hope we start with our strongest and get an early lead, like West Brom, then replace the walking wounded later in the match and try to hold on again. A bit of Khadra running at their defence might actually be the answer. I’m glad I’m not the manager though.

Is Clark ready? If so, yeah, give Robbo a rest and Clark some game time. McAtee only seems to have two settings; weak in the tackle or psycho. But given how highly he’s rated, I think we have to play him a bit to see if he can get used to this league and start showing why he’s so highly rated. We need to know by the JTW, it won’t help him or us if he’s not going to get much game time.

Bristol love to have a go. A lot of their games are open high-scoring affairs.
Feels ready-made for Khadra's chaotic style. I think if we can stay tight at the back we can pick them off on the counter.
