you have to ask whats happened to preston this season
were really combatative last season and thought theyd still be a threat this season , but have lost a lot of their edge
showed for 20 minutes out of 90 today which isnt good enough

No, the referee has the discretion to add some or all of it to the end of the game.

Scrub that Agreasychipbutty the rule has changed since my exams.....

Allowance for time lost

Allowance is made by the referee in each half for all time lost in that half through:
  • substitutions
  • assessment and/or removal of injured players
  • wasting time
  • disciplinary sanctions
  • stoppages for drinks (which should not exceed one minute) or other medical reasons permitted by competition rules
  • delays relating to VAR 'checks' and 'reviews;
  • any other cause, including any significant delay to a restart (e.g. goal celebrations)
The fourth official indicates the minimum additional time decided by the referee at the end of the final minute of each half. The additional time may be increased by the referee but not reduced.
The referee must not compensate for a timekeeping error during the first half by changing the length of the second half.

Thought we were unnecessarily negative in the first half parking the bus. Once we started to press the ball and got Johnson on suddenly we were playing some decent stuff and getting balls into the box.

Pearson is always a big miss in the middle of the park when he's banned. Thought Robinson was superb up top. So disappointing to lose the game again at the end though, awful defending. Impressed with the new spine you've put together this summer of Henderson, Egan, Norwood and McGoldrick. Good recruitment.

It’s often easy to lament sitting deep when you later look better playing with nothing to lose. But I was shocked at the defending for United’s first goal. It was the first time in the game PNE left space in behind, and it rather showed why sitting deep was plan A. Our strike pair have qualities, but pace is the absolute last of them. Unforgivable defending from a side that’s been rock solid in recent times.

I didn’t think we were particularly good either to be honest, which isn’t that much of a consolation to you ! and to be honest at 2-2 I thought if there was a winner it’d be you. That Robinson lad is very good up top and dragged you on despite a lot of the others giving up at 2-0 down. Your defence needs sorting though as we seem to be there for the taking in the last 15/20 mins !
