Could the play offs be still on?

It is just asking far to much, Gillingham are 9 points ahead of us and +16 goal difference better with 7 games left, we have 6. Even if we do beat which i think we will, we will still be 6 points behind them with only 5 games to go when they will still have 6. Plus are you just forgetting about Dingles sat in 7th also with a game in hand, Yes they also have to come to the lane but lets be honest both Gillingham and Dingles can afford for us to beat them because they have that extra game. We would need to win all 6 games in my opinion to have any chance which basically means forget it, not only have we not looked like putting a run together all season we would also need to win 8 out of 9 to win promotion, i'd rather us fail now than yet another playoff disaster.

Dingle's run in

Chesterfield (H)
Oldham (H)
Burton (A)
Peterborough (H)
Blades (A)
Colchester (H)
Wigan (A)

Chesterfield nearly safe, Oldham fighting but its at home, Burton showing signs of a wobble, Peterborough nothing to play for, Colchester will be relegated by then and Wigan will still be pissed from there Promotion party. If anyone can catch Gills it Dingles, we might catch Gillingham but we won't catch Dingles as well.
Thats a really tough run in for Barnsley! There have the momentum and the confidence but they'll be losing plenty of points there.
Unfortunately it all comes down to us needing to win all our remaining games.

The bookies all were tipping us for promotion pre season , and now we have less than 10% chance as the season comes to a close. Think they have now got the percentage odds correct . Some twists and turns to come yet , as players finally have started to think of next season , and shit I have a mortgage and bills to pay . We perhaps will see a little more effort and concentration from our beloved players.

Hopefully too late for some of them though. I'm sure NA, king of spin, knows how to play them; let them think there's a decent chance of a new contract so they put a shift in, then get rid of the ones that let him down earlier in the season.

We have more chance of unveiling a statue of Ched in the car park than making the play offs.

theres no difference
you played 46 last year
your playing 46 this

you cant say neither can I , what any result is going to be,
you may power home , you could collapse

who saw Derby go from top at easter to missing out on the play offs all together last season

Oh, there is a big difference - we haven't got that mental cunt Ian Holloway in charge.

Cannot see a Neil Harris Millwall team giving up an 8 point advantage with 6 games to go, personally.

I think Millwall will finish 4th. The other two play-off places will go to the wire.

Let's be fair from the first game at Gillingham , we knew the team was not of promotion standard . Did we believe in our own publicity , and we would walk this league , I think we did , a bit like Walsall thought they would walk it at the lane last Saturday.

The galling thing about this season is if we could make the play offs , I am 100% certain we would win them . The mental attitude required is finally being achieved by the players . Mortgages , bills , next job , can all help to concentrate the mind .

2no play off spots will go to the wire and we will have a say , of who finishes were . We have left it too late to be in the mix ourselves , and we will finish were we deserve to finish . League tables never lie.

we couldnt see wednesday overhauling a 4 point gap and us having only 3 to play in 2011 but they did, missed out with 90 points

There's about a 10% chance.

After Saturday if we defend like we did against Crewe, there'll be a 0% chance!

18 points left to play for and 8 points off.

Had we beaten Southend and got something against Millwall I would have said yes the play-offs were on but we really don't want to be coasting into the play-offs like last season. This squad don't deserve to be in the play-offs just like most of them don't deserve to be at the club.

we have to win the next six straight.. the pigs once did it if i remember correctly.. 76 points would be enough to get to the playoffs for the last few years..(so we'll end up with another record.. highest number of points but still missed out on playoff.. if we don't have it already)
76 points would definitely take us into play offs no doubt about that,it's the winning the next 6 that is the difficult bit. But lets have a go anyway. What a great end to the season that would be, play offs with momentum that would be a 1 st

If we are not going to sneak into the play offs, then I dont care where we finish, as long as where not anywhere near the relegation places. At the end of the season it doesn't really make any difference, if you finish seventh or fifth from bottom, when next season starts.
Anything outside the play offs is totally unacceptable for Utd in League One. The last thing we need is to win a few games, just miss out on the play offs and Adkins changes his mind on retaining some of the under performing members of the squad. Finish seventh and the spin master Adkins will attempt to convince everyone that this season wasn't so bad after all and the futures bright. Lose some of the remaining games and hopefully Adkins will be gone and Wilder, Cotterill or Powell will be in.

We have played 40 league games and have been shat this season, I fail to see how we will suddenly put a winning streak together in the last 6 games with the same players and manager........esp in our away games.

Adkins will be staying and he will have made his mind up who's staying, whether it be championship or league 1

If our manager and the entire squad had been pulled randomly from a hat (assuming 2, keepers, 4 Cb's, 4 FB's etc) would we have worse decision making and performances than we do now?

Just a thought.

I guess law of averages mean that we would have a probability of being mid table. So we are up on the deal at the moment. Happy days.

Have you already forgotten what the Weir era looked like?

Playing Millwall in a play off final and winning with a last minute goal in extra time.
Couldnt get any better

Has that 'clause' been activated yet?
