Travelling back on the Leagueliner train from London after Blades 3-2 defeat at Arsenal. The Leagueliner train had a discotheque in one of the carriages, video tvs in a different carriage and on the return journey, the Sheffield United players mingled with the fans, having a chat and signing autographs etc. I am the small lad in the below photo and Ted Hemsley is on the left. This picture was in the Blades programme for the next home match (v West Ham)

I notice some of our "fans" are smiling even though we lost. Did you name and shame in the Green Un or are you going to do it now??

:-)

Good job you pointed yourself out Pete. For a moment I thought we'd had Louis Reeds dad playing for us.

Heres one of Me, Mum & Dad travelling back from the 1901 Cup final at Crystal Palace.

Dad if facing Mum on the right, I`m a toddler out of picture, I remember Dad was fucking fuming we`d been held by Non league Spurs.

He went missing for a week when we lost the replay!

The only consolation was 150 loyalty points, and Dad backed both teams to score.

I miss those days.

its a texas instruments calculator , hes adding up the bar bill

No, no, no.

This is Ted Hemsley you're talking about.

It's Timeform, the racing bible, that he's holding. The 1973 Cheltenham Festival is less than a fortnight away and he's deciding between Bula and Comedy of Errors for the Champion Hurdle.

Hope he chose Comedy.

Is that Brayford just entering the carriage?

On Silent's photo I thought the tall lad to the right of Silent was Steve Faulkner.

Been told by a FB friend that the tall lad is from Darnall and was still attending Blades matches about 10 years ago. Dont know his name and if he still goes to matches
