None, but a bit of sensationalism will always add to a clappers story.
Aren't a million miles away? With the exception of Weirs tenure, we are as far away as we have ever been during the last 5 years in this league. Facts? We have picked up 6 points from the last 5 league games. Nothing like promotion form. In fact you can count on one hand the number of performances we have put in this season where we could have been considered genuine "promotion candidates" so despite us all wanting the same outcome let's not kid ourselves. I am not in any way shape or form comparing us with them

I ONLY USE MAN UTD AND CHELSEA REFERENCES AS SOME OF OUR FANS MUST THINK WE ARE THEM IN THIS LEAGUE , EXPECTING US TO THRASH EVERY BODY

We have no divine right to beat anyone BUT with our resources, size of squad and ability to supposedly attract a higher calibure of player, it isn't unreasonable to expect us to beat these teams more often than they beat us. It isn't unreasonable to be expecting us to be making progress whereas after 5 years we should now be challenging for automatic promotion. Sadly though since our first season in here we have either just missed out or scraped into the play offs and are still continually being embarrassed by these smaller clubs. It's one thing not beating them but quite another when they are turning us over with ease.

Deary me. You honestly think the likes of Burton, Gillingham etc have the same sort of income as we do? How many have sold players for millions? How many have had income from an Old Trafford cup game not to mention 2 cup semi finals. Income to invest in whatever they see fit.

deary me do you think we pay the same as these smaller clubs for stewarding police insurance local rates

we get bigger attendances but have more staff to pay
whatever we gain in one hand , we pay out in another regarding the gate

So we earn the same from gate receipts as the others? Never mind all the other extra match day income as well as cup/ transfer cash. Whatever we pay out ultimately we make a greater profit than they do. This is our greater income/resources. It's not disputable, it's fact

we made a loss according to the last accounts
this is the point our resource pay our players and we end up with a negative equity which means we have no advantage, as far as resources go

It's about being sensible, and not comparing us to Manchester United.

Bookies had us finishing above Burton and Gillingham pre season.

Why do you think that is?

Our budgets must be same as everyone else as we pay more for stewards.

I really have heard it all now.
 
As I've said about a hundred times on this site, ALL football fans are exactly like we are.

There are a percentage who would clap like seals if we drew at Bradford Park Avenue, there are a similar (small) percentage that would have some complaints if we'd just won at Old Trafford and there are the vast majority who react to what is actually happening (be it positive or negative).
For some reason I found myself listening to Villa/Wycombe last week and at half time the BBC journo in the studio asked sumariser (Dean Saunders) if the fans were playing their part enough. DS said (quite rightly) it's up to the team to give them something to cheer and he could fully understand why they'd been booed off.

Now just taking Villa as an example. I have been to Villa Park and they've stuffed us and the place is bouncing. When we went last time (is it really only 2 years ago) they were quiet and subdued (and we were going fucking mental). That's how it is from Carlisle to Plymouth. The idea we are some sort of group who specialise, and have the monopoly, in negativity and gloom is simply shit.

stewards we need more of , police we need more of rates we pay more
having a big ground is great
and for the really simple in the head
its like owning a big car against a smaller run around
running costs are bigger with a big car

As I said if you read it carefully in post 71. Income to spend/ invest in however we see fit. The fact that we may have overspend has nothing to do with how much we earn initially
