Have you ever been to Burnley? Sheep shagging and 'spot the retard' vie with football for 'entertainment'. Also the quoted population of Sheffield being '555,000' is highly contentious, a bit like claiming Sheffield is in South Yorkshire or Manchester United play in Manchester. Also, Burnley have a large catchment area, a history of actually winning anything etc.

Isn't Bristol a better comparison? 428,100 is the stated population. Two teams, rugby, a plethora of attractions (including sheep shagging) and City's average this season - despite finishing as Champions of Div. One last season, playing in a higher league and having financial backing that isn't a fantasy - 15,098.

Yes we have bigger policing costs than other league one clubs but what part don't you get that these costs are far outweighed by the turnstile revenue we get. It isn't rocket science!!
