Full name: Che Zach Everton Fred Adams. 18 years old. No detail on height and weight but my guess is 5'11" and 12.5 stone. Strong lad.

His manager at Ilkeston said on his departure something like "he's got pace and strength and can change a game in a flash", " numerous clubs have been watching him".

Maybe we tend to forget that Clough has a responsibility to nurture these young lads of this sort of age.

What if Everton come knocking?

Forget Everton, what if Fred comes knocking?

I think Southampton and Newcastle went knocking at Ilkeston but he chose SUFC and Clough for his development... It's not to say he won't get a decent move eventually, but for now he's getting that with a league one club. According to Clough he's been impressed with his development to date and it's quite possible that a good start to next season and other teams will take note.

What is the point of the thread wwf? Have I missed something here because we all know his name and he perhaps should have had more game time but it's gone now and there is fuck all that me, you or anybody can do about it. Lets see him progress next season, hopefully!

Notts County had been watching him for months. I know a Notts fan who rang me up the day after we signed him saying that we wouldn't be disappointed. He was gutted that we got him. He'd been to watch him too to see what the hype was about.

I think it all went quiet where Notts were concerned when Derry left as manager.

Looking at this on youtube. I'd get him upfront!

I would be surprised if he is still at the Lane next season. Very raw, but the pace, power and finishing ability were there for all to see on TV and will have been duly noted by the prem / champ scouts.

I've said previously that I'd like to see Che starting in a front two of a 4-4-2 (or similiar) especially at BDTBL. It's probably not popular but I'd like to see a pairing with McNulty given a chance. I know some of you have misgivings about McNulty but you can't deny he has an eye for goal. I'm not for one minute comparing, but Keith Edwards would do F all in a game and then pop up and score. Having said that, I love Done too so maybe we could play them all a la Messi, Suarez and Neymar ;);):D:D:D:D

I wouldn't knock you thoughts on McNulty. He is the only "natural" finisher we've currently got and it's difficult to coach that natural ability IMO. I'd love to see him given more of a chance. I'd also really like to see Adams given more of a run. I think that, more often than not this season, he's looked a bit awe struck but he's certainly shown enough (in more games that Coutts has - thought I'd get that in before you all point out my coutts thoughts ;)) to suggest that he has something a bit different and a full pre-season with the squad might make him realise that he's here on merit.

With regard to Keith edwards. You are spot on. Did F All in most matches except put the ball in the net and win us games - although if you listen to him on Radio Sheffield he clearly did so much more than that.

Not bad you, Woodwardfan.

I knew I should have been more careful choosing my lad's middle name, Rawmarsh St Josephs will be calling anytime.

Nobody told me Rawmarsh was a bad choice.

I've got mi coit..

'Che', 'Zack' and 'Fred' all look like diminutives to me anyway!

Chedwyn Zachery Everton Frederick Adams.

Amazes me when I hear he always did fuck all. There used to be a bloke looking uncannily like him making runs, taking corners/free kicks and generally occupying one, if not both, center halves all game and looking like he'd be scoring any time soon.
I can live with the "didn't get back over the half way line" perhaps, but doing fuck all in the opponents half is just not right.

He is now 90 and now the 2nd oldest surviving West Indian Test cricketer! I remember him analysing the 1976 England v West Indies series on BBC TV with Peter West

One of the trio known as the 3 W's - Frank Worrell, Everton Weekes and Clyde Walcott. All supreme batsmen, all born in Bridgetown Barbados and all heavy run scorers. If you had to pick the best you'd probably go for Clyde Walcott, but he always maintained that Everton Weekes was the best. Weekes went on to be the most well known, probably due to his TV commentary/summariser work.

I think it comes from a quote from an opposition defender who said something like 'he did nothing until he scored'.

It's worth remembering that a lot of the kop were always drunk, it used to stink of booze at the back where I stood. And people were too busy telling Richardson and Houston they were shit and calling Curran a cunt to watch what Edwards was doing.

But does that not constitute doing F All? I thought a striker only worked hard if he spent a load of time helping out the back 4. Otherwise they are lazy sods. My comment about "putting the ball in the net and winning us games" didn't come across very well did it :(? What I should have said is that I don't give a damn whether strikers defend or not, as long as they put the ball in the net because we won't win games otherwise. But I do stand by my comment that he does believe that he did a hell of a lot more when he speaks than he actually used to do.

You must have been stood next to me.

Surely your memory is playing tricks though, our fans being cunts is a recent thing isn't it?

Think we all must have stood together. You're not one of the Unstone lads are you????? Now they did like a pre-match drink :p. I remember one night one of them could hardley see the pitch and complained that Trenton Wigan should be playing - we pointed out to him that he was and was the only black player on the pitch but he still couldn't make him out. Quality.
