I thought they gave it everything tonight.

If you're going to go down, go down fighting.

And it was good to see Basham, Done and others applauding the fans at the end but also with also a sense of "this is not over". They hadn't given up.

I just got my coach ticket and match ticket.

I've got my tickets for Monday too. I hope (if we lose) it's the last I see of a few of them.

A quote from Sean Connery in The Rock comes to mind:

"Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen."

Brayford getting injured and forcing Basham back into defence was a blow, Matt Done was a handful when he came on, but you can't play Scougall and Holt together, too similar in size and build.

Anyone would think we were being managed by Snow White.

I agree, we need a performance similar to Barnsley or Bristol, but we can do it. I thought the players gave blood last night, and were unlucky.
The ref was shocking and their winner was one of those shots that don't usually come off. The only moan I have is taking corners, why are we so bad at what is a fairly simple task?

The players gave us a real performance last night, yes we did invite them on to us and yes we gave them to much space at times, I must say we closed them down to a great degree in the first half we didn't let them play out of defence, loss of Brayford upset the balance of the team but we kept pushing for the winner, I know there are fan's who are critical of how we defended our lead and have the right to do so, I for one though they battled well, and have high hopes for Monday. I think that a lot of those players out there were carrying the effects of a long season. After the first 20 mins I thought we were going to get a hat full but we change when we score. The players become more tentative.
Wouldn't rule us out on Monday but it's going to be tough. However I do feel , that fully fit, that squad could give most teams a run for their money. Here's hoping we can do that on Monday.

Good to read a positive thread. Our players do try their very best, it's just that the formation and tactics restrict them and in truth they are not good enough. I thought Flynn and Basham were heroic. Freeman did well offensively and I must say McEveley stood up to be counted despite his obvious limitations.

All to play for Monday and just maybe that spirit will see us through.

I do dread Wembley though I have to be truthful. Those honest players will be really up against it there and so will us fans. That's no reason not to wish for it though.

Perfect scenario would be we turn it around at Swindon and Chesterfield do the same at Preston, in all probability it could happen. ;)

Bloody Hell - Our Prom Queen aint been fucked since 1925

I'll bet it's a bit dusty down there, cobwebs and all sorts.
It'll be like that cave in the opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark

They did what have wanted all season, they really put it in and got the fans on side early. We then scored, and then retreated 20 yards. I certainly don't put this on the players last night, or their effort.
