Tyler Bindon.

Came into the squad at the beginning of the season low on confidence and you could see that in the way he was playing, got pushed aside due to his performances and was essentially thrown into the bin for a few months and we all thought it was a waste of a loan spot.

Now look at him, arguably one of our best performing players in the team right now. I hope we sign him permanently.

I saw someone say in the match thread he is so composed for a young lad and I couldn’t agree more. He has really made the step up when he got given his opportunity by Wilder.

Another MOTM performance to go with it tonight as well, well done Bindon!

In all fairness I would be slow to react to, I wouldn’t be expecting my goalkeeper to drop a ball that he’s seen all the way and wasn’t hit with much power either
We were right behind that goal, ball was hit hard and was swerving, not saying he shouldn't have done better, but it was not as easy as you are making out.

Man of the match? Against a team that applied zero sustained pressure? Nah…

He did everything right, but let’s applaud defenders when they’re asked more questions than tonight.
Finally, someone who watched it. Oxford were absolutely pathetic. Hamer tried a lot of things to get our sideways and backwards stuff going, he deserves more praise than he’s getting.

The issue was that he tried to catch it, if it was swerving just push it wide.

I’m not joining a pile on but it was poor goalkeeping, a shame after a few good games.

There is little doubt that Oxford were dire, but that doesn't mean he had it easy, or that they didn't create problems.

Every time he was asked a question, he dealt with it. And in the 1st half he was the only defender who looked properly switched on. Admittedly they weren't helped by the midfield being half asleep for 30 minutes.

Really pleased with how he has turned things around after being part of a team at the start of the season that was collectively awful.
When we brought him in, I thought it was a good signing. He had the attributes to be a good defender with good ball handling skills.
He has shown that since being brought back into the team and save for a few iffy moments, has looked accomplished alongside Tanganga.
Hopefully he can keep it up over the course of the season and help us at least challenge/put pressure on the play off chasing teams.

He seemed torn between catching it and deflecting it wide
That moment of indecision cost him and you could see he was furious with himself afterwards.
But a forgiveable momentary lapse in standards which he's set high recently.

In the lead-up we failed to pick up at least 2 loose balls so it's unfair for Coops to take the whole blame.
Their guy should never have been in such a clear shooting position.

Bit of a fluky goal all round.

Some don't like him because of how he speaks and because he'd played for Selles previously. I think some were also looking for him to make the same instant impact Harry Souttar did. Lad's only just turned 21. He's six years younger than Souttar. He had a dodgy start to his time here, there's no denying that but he's shown his character in working his way back into the first team and many of his recent performances have been excellent. One of the first names on the team sheet for me. I reckon he's got a very bright future and will go on to play for one of the big clubs.

Something I noticed towards the start of Wilder's return was that Bindon was dropped from one of the early squads, but he was still warming up with the squad before the game.

I know that's not a big thing, but it showed his commitment to making the loan move work and not giving up despite being dropped.
