Their model works very well and fair play to them for getting the Hollywood investors in, they've managed to tap into the American love for what we would call an obscure shithole, the Yanks would call it quaint.

The investors are pumping money in because they want to see them go from Non League to the Premier League and at that point i think they'd be self sustaining with the interest built up in them from over the pond. If they fail again to reach the Premier League or the Play offs, then how much longer will that interest keep going for?

I don't like them, have no interest in their disney series and didn't like them when we played in the cup.

They're bringing in players who seem to be making themselves into panto villains, whether that's by design, i don't know, but the strange comments from O'Hare about moving to a bug club were a little strange. No problem with chasing the money, just the comments and attitudes seem to be a bit off for me
I’d say they’d need to make it to the prem to make that model sustainable.

O’Hare is just doing the new signing cliche thing, it’s as old as time.

Are Wrexham a bigger club than they were? Undoubtedly. Nobody can reasonably say otherwise. But history has to play a part too surely? You can’t buy that, you make it. The only history that comes to mind for me regarding Wrexham is that Micky Thomas was a bit good for them back in the day.

All I highlighted was good coaching from West Ham in response to someone saying how good West Ham were in and out of possession and intimated that doesn’t happen at SUFC. All fair comments.
And all I responded with is the fact that West Ham have had years of Prem money and that counts for a lot, especially when you get given a 60,000 seater stadium and can spend the revenue that generates from tourists, and the rest of the prem money you didn’t need to splash on a new ground, on facilities and people to manage the training and coaching.
But no, you went in to make the direct analogy that there is a lot of coaching of players at West Ham and virtually none at Blades.
It was a simple dig, nothing else.
It wasn’t a fair comparison, so that’s the logical conclusion I made.

Now if you compared us to Blackburn then fair enough. Good comparator, but we beat them through tactics and coaching (twice) recently.

Maybe try Burnley at the moment. Are they just a poorly coached team? What about Hecky’s Preston?

I get that you’re not a fan of Wilder but it would be sensible to add some reality to a throw away statement that West Ham are well coached and there is nothing like that going on a Bramall Lane.

Are we going to be like Coventry fans about this? Players get sold all the time, we can’t get pissy about every one. Do we have to boo him when he plays against us like that sad lot do?
I've no issue with players being sold. I get that players want to win over new clubs fans quickly. I was commenting on what O'Hare said when he signed for them which, for me, was a little strange.

I presume he'll be booed when he plays against us, its an age old tradition with a lot of former players.

I've no idea what Coventry fans are like other than a lot of them coming on this forum. I can't see many of our fans going on Wrexhams forum

Why anyone would want to boo o'hare is beyond me..he was a tireless worker who left everything on the pitch..that should be appreciated.

It's straight from the 'Ive just signed to a new club' handbook, litterly 90% of the players say it.

It's not O'Hares fault we (a selling club, who are in dire need of money) accepted a bid for him and then probably asked him to move on due to the situation. I wouldn't want to play for a club whose hierarchy wants me gone, a higher payday is just a plus

Cov fans were annoyed with O’Hare because he wouldn't sign a new contract even though he'd spent a lot of time injured, therefore he left on a free.
They didn't boo Gus.

He has to say nice things that the fans want to hear on day 1. He can’t rock up saying “it’ll be a bit different going from playing in front of 28k every week in a big stadium to about 12k toothless simpletons, but I can’t wait to meet Deadpool then watch myself on Disney+.”

Which just shows how pathetic they are, which we have all acknowledged.
Every thing we mock other fans for, we do on here.

Some players deserve a bit of stick on returning, Lundstram being a prime villain. But I found the constant booing of Berge when he returned with Burnley sad and embarrassing. What also pissed me off was the failure of the gaffer to put a marker on him as he was dictating the midfield.

Lundstrum can get fucked..he downed tools..that's unforgivable.

Did you expect him to say that his heart will forever be with the blades? He's a journeyman, out for himself and to make his life as easy as possible. Nothing wrong with that - move on.

No, he can say what he wants but you lose a bit of respect for a player when one minute he’s posting thanks to blades fans and then next he’s saying that he’s at a big club in Wrexham 😂

He’s gone and yes we move on

You’ve really read into this too deeply pal. I can absolutely compare the fact West Ham are well coached whereas us, we’re not. That’s literally it.

Micky’s wikipedia entry leaves out his appearances for E Wing after his counterfeit and money laundering conviction!

Nah. Not having it.
Both teams are coached.

If you watched us today the tactics were changed to make us as effective as we could have been against a far superior squad, with much greater quality. To make that effective there will have been some coaching over the last three days of training.

If you continue with this nonsense about us not being coached then I can only conclude you have an obvious agenda.

It’s not nonsense. It’s what anyone who has ever played football can see about us at the moment. There’s no patterns of play, no identity, no creativity to unlock different teams with different styles of play. Wilder is banking on moments of magic at the moment and he’s winning which, is great at the moment and long may it continue, but IMO it’s not sustainable in the Championship and it won’t last.

And for ref, my expectations are we are a Top 8 team on paper. Comfortably…with the right coach.

What are you on about? Was today not different to Wednesday at Blackburn.
You’re doubling down on each response when you’re clearly talking hogwash that we are not coached.

You clearly aren’t understanding. So we’ll leave it there shall we. You have your point, I’ll have mine, and we’ll agree to disagree and all that.

I miss COH, but not as much as Uncle Susan does. He was the one player she wanted to grope. And tbh she would have probably got away with it as he doesn't look the type to fight back.
Luckily she never got hold of him.
I hate applying for HMP visiting passes.
