Roygbiv Can we request a view through Coventry tears? Twitter has been an exceptional place recently.

So a ccfc comes on and talks honestly and that's the best you can do..fucking idiot
Incorrect, it wasn't the best, just something rattled off, whether you approve or not. And while you're at it I trust you'll comment on the other posters who've shared a similar sentiment to myself, otherwise it would seem odd that you've restricted your ire on myself alone.......sincerely, fucking idiot

Can not understand this . If he is no longer on team sheets at Cov as some Cov fans are saying and he is not very good as cov fans are saying surely they can not deny him a move away . Whats all the fuss about? For God sake move on pick your teddies up ,it's football ,players are moving all the time . They say he is not what he cracks up to be then they say he should have gone to a Prem club , Scratching my head with this one .

I would liken them to Wrexham and Pigs for delusion.

Saw one that said he wasn't even playing for them because they knew he was leaving and that the Man Utd game was his first appearance for months. Same person also said it was his last appearance for Coventry.

Facts however show that he was playing and he also played in 3 of the final 4 games AFTER the Man Utd game.

Admittedly from March onwards he was used more as a sub than a starter, but they are suggesting he was barely playing at all

He played one full match since February and that was in the FA Cup. Prior to that he was playing all the time.

Robins clearly phased him out and it did impact on performances.

If that is the case we have found out why he as left then . He must have felt the manager was phasing him out as you say . So why have the fans got a problem with it ? Never seen such a reaction from fans being so bitter when a player is not in the bosses plans and leaves his club .

He was phased out because he didn't want to sign a contract.

Fans are annoyed because we stuck with him throughout his ACL injury and worshipped him. Unlike Hamer and Gyokeres, he left on a free.

Right i understand but all clubs have a problem with players who have long term injuries to players and when fit end up moving on .We have had a few who were first team players who got injured only for them to move on after gaining fitness .

Keep telling yourself that if you like.

Following his injury he featured in 30/34 league matches, starting 18 of them. Including 4 of the last 7, when he was "phased out".

Starts in green if you want to see the facts before coming back to me

Coventry fan here. Will be interested to see how O’Hare does for you. Still can’t really make my mind about him to be honest. Runs around a lot, does some good things and does some bad things. He can only play as a central attacking midfielder he hasn’t the discipline to play anywhere else. Good option off the bench. He’s wholehearted so Wilder will like him. Ignore our fans who seem to have become very entitled recently on the back of a run to the play off final in a very poor league a couple of seasons ago and a good win at Wolves in the Cup last season. We have done well in recent seasons given that Forest Green did the double over us 6 years ago but taking the next step and making the promised land? of the Premier League will be a big ask for us this season.

Thank God now I can take your comments seriously .No bitterness just facts .thanks for that .Just a word of warning mate the prem is not a place you want to be if you have not got the cash . Never ever been a prem lover not just because we had a terrible season but I hated it before last year . Full of actors cheats and officials who while not being bent allow them selves to be intimidated and pressured in to some very strange decisions mostly when playing away at the big clubs. The money you get for promotion might be a big wedge but not nearly enough for a Championship club to build a team to survive in the prem which in a way makes it a closed shop . Players on 200,000 grand a week and clubs now paying up to 100 mill for one player makes sure you dont have a chance .

Check the final column. The only 90+ he played since Feb was against Manchester United. Compare that to January where he started and finished all but the final minute against Middlesbrough.

He only completed 90mins on 7 occasions. So you must have been phasing him out all season 🤷‍♂️

Well, no. He came back from a major injury which put him out for a year. He built up the minutes and then begin be a regular starter and finisher.

Then in Feb when contract talks clearly weren't going well, the minutes dropped dramatically.

In the period before February, especially before Christmas, he was probably the best player in the division.

Fair response.

Same we did with Ndiaye and Berge. Good sign that he’s a decent player IMHO.
The berge comments on here were unreal. How he went from class in some opinions ‘world’ class to dogshit in 24 hours was amazing. Even when he came and took piss big time at lane last season he was still ‘wank’ 🤦‍♂️. All football clubs have exactly the same fans amongst em. We are no different from Coventry like it or lump it. We too have lots of mongos…. On a brighter note Leeds has the most

Because as much as they say they aren’t bothered, of course they are bothered. But this happens at most if not all clubs.

If you’re expecting loyalty from a professional footballer you’re going to end up disappointed

The prem is not a good place for promoted teams especially if your recruitment is absolutely horrendous going in to it and sell your 2 best players just before you start. Make no mistake about it it’s possible to stay up if you prepare correctly. The season before last was the worse championship I can remember and it was proved last season but if you are willing to spend and get the mix right you can have a successful campaign in the prem. By that I mean 4th bottom. Coventry would imo spend money and survive

Agree with some of your points but not all . You are correct I think most blades fans knew we would be coming back down before a ball was kicked .It did not help losing your best players and replacing them with crap. Also the pre season we had was to be honest the worse pre season i can remember ,So i think most Blades knew what was going to be the outcome. It does not help allowing players who you wish to remain running down their contracts ,something our owner seems to think is a good idea . As for spending to establish your self in the prem you need mega bucks ,Forest spent millions and millions and brought in over 20 players and just managed to survive .Burnley spent a big wedge to but did not survive .The Prem has changed so much in the last 5 years with the top clubs mopping up any talent that looks anything like half decent and paying 60 to 80 mill for your prem ership quality player and paying them mega wages which promoted clubs just can not match or live with. It will be interesting to see how Ipswich fare they to are splashing the cash but i feel will still be one of the favourites to come back down . Getting around 180 mill for getting promoted is not now enough to dine at the top table and survive thanks to big clubs who are prepared to spend daft transfer money and even dafter wages.

See how Ipswich go this season, probably a realistic yardstick for Coventry
