I thought Utd got very good money for CoH who was a very likable hard working player, lots of movement, but was light weight and often lacked composure and end product. The issue wasnt so much the sale under the terms agreed, it was the timing so close to the window end (probably why the sale price was so good) and the lack of decent replacement coming in for him. Still, maybe it gives Ryan One a bigger opportunity to shine.

You can't see how attractive a proposition Wrexham are right now?
Not really for a player like O'Hare.

Will Wrexham get promoted ? Probably yes within 2-3 seasons.

Will O'Hare be a starter, or even squad player for Wrexham in the PL ? No. One thing Wrexham have done over the years is build for the next step year-on-year. They go up, they do a Forest and overhaul 75% of their squad.

Will United get promoted within 2-3 seasons? Who knows, maybe, maybe not.

Would O'Hare be a starter for United in the PL? Possibly, yes... because we have solid history of Not investing for the step up.

For me if Wrexham go up, he is sold back to the Championship.
If he had got promoted with us, he would still be in the squad and would have a crack at PL

I understand Hamer leaving for Coventry (even if he has only started in the Cup). I don't understand O'Hare leaving for Wrexham.

O'Hare was probably on £40k per week here including his sign-on fee. He'll be on £50k per week there, plus the loyalty bonus (probably c10-15% of his fee) he would have received as part of the transfer arrangement and any sign-on fee Wrexham chose to give him.

Not forgetting the bright lights of Holywood from being on camera with the Disney dudes.

It wont be a purely football based move, he may fancy the chance of becoming a star on their Disney series. Would open up more doors for him in other lucrative areas.

I think that football has moved on and players need to have some physicality about them. O'Hare had none. Can you think of players playing in midfield in the Premiership that have the physicality of O'Hare.
David Silva managed.

But I agree, you need be exceptional to make up for a lack of size and strength. O'Hare would maybe be another squad player for a bottom 6 team. Good technically and world class fitness. But no more than that

Midfield in the Premiership
Do you think Messi would have failed in the Prem?

I agree with the sentiment though, if you're athletic and a physical you can get away with a lower level of ability. There's still a place for exceptional, smaller players though but COH ain't that.

Mata, David Silva, Kante, Santi Cazorla, Foden etc. have all made it work

Messi did alright
Messi is the greatest player in the history of the game. He's not really a fair comparator.

O'Hare isn't exceptional at Championship level, let alone PL. Coventry got promoted after replacing the 5'9" O'Hare with 6'1" Jack Rudoni.

He's a good Championship starter and in a different style of team I think he could be very good. He'd fit in at Boro because of how they move the ball and he'd have been good for last seasons Hull team starting counters etc. But he's a Robin, not a Batman. If he's your best player, you're not very good
