I think fans were in shock and never expected O'Hare to be the one to go. Most of us were expecting Peck to be sold and possibly burrows. I think this is why fans have responded like they have

They currently don’t have solid foundations for sustainable success. No Ryan Reynolds and no documentary, they’ll probably drop to League One/Two.

These sponsors aren’t sponsoring Wrexham, they’re sponsoring Reynolds and the documentary. Reynolds owns a £350m club on paper, but it’s only worth that with him owning it. He can’t sell it for that price and walk away as the club’s value would drop like a stone the moment the contract is signed.
Reynolds and mcelhenny are just the front men
Wrexham were actually bought out by an investment company a couple of years ago
And will be absolutely fine if the two celebrities go

haven't they already cashed out 35%?

Reynolds has done it with loads of brands, Mint, Aviation etc... he gives a brand seed investment, free global marketing, cashes in and then moves onto the next one. It'll turn properly ugly when Wrexham fans get to that point in the cycle and they realise neither of them actually care.

I’m not saying they would go bust or anything, but they’d find it much harder to compete against teams that have been established in the Championship for decades.

Obviously if they improve the stadium, training facilities and academy that’s going to help.

the way peck has played in the last 2 games i almost wish somebody had come in for him 🙄

Can you explain the advantage to an American company sponsoring an English club who doesn't get any airtime in America?
It’s something which bugs me.

The profiles of the people in the consortium (and who we think are / were in it) were people that have good business experience and success in the USA at least and in sports in the USA. Not amazing profiles, but decent enough. They should be developing this side of the business and pushing money into the academy, women’s team infrastructure, developing the business as a whole.

We can and do focus heavily on the football and first team as that what we support as fans, but the business side is not as restricted by SCR / FFP and regulation or spotlight.

Half a dozen Sheffielders with good business acumen would be doing a much better job, would develop the commercial side and generating more revenue as well as getting Dore moving.

So far the hotel has opened up, we’ve had some paint on the ground, a new kit deal with adidas and we’ve managed to link up with Fanatics, which other clubs also have done. Outside of that we’ve got a few sponsors that are already in football anyway, like Midnite.

It doesn’t need Hollywood reach, but it does need smart business acumen. Ironically, because we’re so up and down as a team and club, we’d be prime viewing for a documentary. Better than mid table Tottenham. The last 10 years we’ve had drama and turmoil every season - promotion, relegation, play off, owners shambles, scandal, manager changes, controversy…

Wish O'Hare well, although that will be hard having joined Wrexham. He did well and I appreciated the message to the fans also.

I think k he'll get a reasonable reception when he comes back. Better than Moore that's for sure!

Decent goal from More last night but I'd still only expect 10 or do goals a season from him which is nothing out of the ordinary. Still, I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

I cant believe you missed out the toilet upgrades in SS.

Unbelievable 😂

How about a re-release of ‘When Saturday Comes’? That may bring in a bob or two………or not.
Think they went for a musical at Scarborough Spa…maybe McCabe be back? 🤔

Christ. The Sky commentators were up and over like a pan of milk every opportunity tonight.

How to indicate your implicit London based bias whilst trying not to don a flat cap and eat jellied eels whilst dancing to a jangly pub piano.

Still, nice to see Callum and Keefer getting a reyt fat arse sausaging just to remind Wrexham fans that status and quality has to be earned in the Championship.

Watched the game and West Ham looked unstoppable. They'll likely have a wobble away at the likes of Lincoln etc but wouldn't surprise me if they break 100 points this season.

Wrexham looked awful and if they're not top 10 by November their miserable c*nt of a manager wiil be oot the door.

Good, if they were fawning over West Ham. It'll do the Wrexham lot a deal of good to realise they aren't the programmer's darling every week.
