CONFIRMED Callum O'Hare - signs for Wrexham

For me he will be best remembered for being a pressing 10 rather than a creative 10. Worked hard, but should have really been terrorising defenders and scoring a lot more goals than he did. Sometimes showed flashes of creativity with some nice slick passes, but not often enough.

Also, his pace was nonexistent after 3-5 yards and often got bullied off the ball and went looking for a foul.

I’m more annoyed about the timing of the transfer rather than him actually leaving. We got to a point where you’re thinking OK he’s not the greatest, but we can’t afford to lose another player at the top end of the pitch.

He never seemed to have a natural position to me. I liked the way he ran around in a "Scrappy Doo" fashion and popped up with the odd goal, but the fee seems reasonable for me. The big issue is of course, they lack of any incoming.

I’m not sure Wrexham will be a ‘shoe in’ for top 8 this season. They seem to have a mish mash of players. I’m not sure how O’Hare will fit in with their system. Parkinson under proper pressure now. I still think he’ll be sacked by Xmas if not challenging top 2

The cov fans hate him for the way he left - bet he wished he’d stayed with Cov. All he’s doing now is moving to another team that has a better chance than us of reaching prem so he can play at that level - not sure he ever will though !

Donovan work rate is on a similar scale. It’s annoying he’s gone because everything you say is right but more annoying is having owners willing to lose all creativity. No matter what anybody says that shows zero empathy with club, fans and team. Disgusting.

I think he made the correct decision and don't blame him one little bit. It's crap for us as a club due to the context, but he's not one of those players that I'm gutted to see leave. Out of Brooks, Hamer and O’Hare, the one I’m least disappointed about losing is O’Hare. It’s just the timing and lack of replacement that’s pissed me off with the sale.

He did well for us, but he was nothing special, I always thought his goal scoring was pretty pathetic especially his first season considering the quality of the team he played in and being a number 10.

I do agree with other posts that say that the only reason we played 4-2-3-1 was to accommodate O’Hare in the team, so that could be a positive with this sale. It’s just a shame we didn’t sign a winger to add another attacking option.

The issue is that Donovan is a loan player. We can't plan for the future or build a team including him. Once he shows he has what it takes he'll be back to Brentford for the next step in his career, whilst we flounder for another replacement.

You're so right. It's bloody frustrating to watch both of them stand there with hands on hips. At least Billy Sharp was on his toes and looking to make runs. These two only run once the ball is in their vicinity....

The only tie breaker is, we've at least see Campbell have a run of games where he's been good. Never seen Cannon get anywhere close to that. To hear his defenders claim 'he won a header that led to a goal' or 'he scored (a penalty) in the cup' shows how desperate we are.

Hopefully once One is back we see less of both of them

My feelings on O’Hare have been pretty consistent on here, really appreciate his work rate and application but never felt he was a brilliant footballer.
For the position that he played he should’ve been scoring a lot more goals. Always worth a spot on the team sheet for sheer effort and the inability to replace him is jarring but I don’t think I’ll particularly miss him per se.

They currently don’t have solid foundations for sustainable success. No Ryan Reynolds and no documentary, they’ll probably drop to League One/Two.

These sponsors aren’t sponsoring Wrexham, they’re sponsoring Reynolds and the documentary. Reynolds owns a £350m club on paper, but it’s only worth that with him owning it. He can’t sell it for that price and walk away as the club’s value would drop like a stone the moment the contract is signed.
