Not sure the point you're trying to make based on the players he was up against that day, irrespective of our midfield and strikeforce.

I'm far from convinced he'll make much difference based on the his performances over the last year or so but the player of a few years ago and earlier would do a proper job for us in the current situation. I assume that's what Wilder is hoping whether it's realistic or not.

This was the news wilder was hinting at? Doubt he'll play until after the international break and even then will be excused as he hasn't had a pre-season (and we know how important that is). Will play a few 10 minutes cameos and get injured in November, never to be seen again.

Seems to have been signed based on the 45 minutes second half performance when he nearly pulled Leicester back from the brink last season in our 2-3 win. Without tempting fate his injury record seems reasonable for someone of his age. 35 in a few days. The problem will be his level of match fitness and whether the rumour his legs have gone are true. Hes an extra body up top but the glaring omission of pace from the squad continues.

At his age he will fit in well , with the slow paced football, if that’s what you call it from wilder.

Given what McGoldrick and Bamford have done when signed off the scrap heap im willing to give him a chance.

You don’t play all those years in the PL by chance so maybe he has something left.

If it’s another Mee or Ings - it’s not worse than the other dross we’ve been signed over the last few years.

I’d would rather bring him on than say Shackleton when chasing a goal?
