It’s such a shortsighted transfer strategy, we are clearly in a position where we need to rebuild the squad for the future, but the majority of our signings are old and will be gone in the summer.

We obviously can’t just sign a load of young lads but we need to sign some! We need some players that will be still at the club in a year or two and have the potential to increase in value.

It is but in slight defence, flogging one of your first XI who has played all matches and been instrumental is short sighted too.

Especially as reported bids had come in for Burrows and Cannon, who were much less pivotal to the way we play.
And even more so when that the money would not be re-invested.
Wilder has developed a very staid approach this season, 'no gambles'. Is if there is a means to an end with this?, or are we going to just see more of it long term.
If the club knows that we have to 'take our medicine' this season (due to SCR rules) but this means we can be more adventurous in future windows then we need some transparency on that. Dumb it all down for the hard of understanding like me!
If we have to sell the likes of Peck and Seriki next window but would be able to re-invest all of that money then let us know. And probably a good idea to let the manager know too.
That might stem the negativity.
The lack of messaging on this just leaves me to think there is little light at the end of a long tunnel. I don't think we'll go down, even with this squad and a lack of drive. But fans are going to switch off even more if all we have to look forward to is a potential relegation scrap every season (eg Blackburn, Preston etc).
 
How's he got the cheek after his shafted Heckingbottom in the Premier League. Obviously its not a great signing but jesus don't make out like PA wasn't complicit with something similar

Our esteemed owners won't be looking long term IF they're going to bale or surrender to a majority investor. Just survive this season and let someone else sift through the wreckage.

I appreciate while the window was open may not have been judicious as it could impact your bargaining position. But Bettis could stop a lot of this now. Not some occasional reference by Rosen in a welcome but softball interview.

It needs a post Window Football Heaven where he lays out the unique position we found ourselves in and how much we needed to generate, the sort of bids we turned down for other players which made the sale of O’Hare the only available option.

We can take bad news. What we can’t take is no news or just being fed bullshit.
 
Fuck me, wilders OAP army almost fully assembled. Someone should let him know Leicester got relegated, you'd think he didn't know with all the signings and links with their players.

I hope he proves me wrong, obviously, but i've lost every ounce of confidence in Wilder. The sooner he goes the better.

Exactly this.
Wilder used to make inspiring little speeches, not afraid to call the owners out.
Would be nice to see the return of that too.
I unashamedly like Wilder and support him fully, but he does need to remember why a lot of fans connected with him and why they saw him as really 'one of our own'. At the moment he is sounding far too like other managers we have had with no connection to the club.
He talks about the club being stronger when it is together. He is bang on. So lets see some efforts in that direction. It starts with honesty (from the club not always just Wilder)
 



First 5 games, not in the match squad (not match fit)
Next 5 games on the bench (not quite fully match fit)
Next game...gets injured
Next 10 games on the treatment table
Next 5 games on the bench ( not match fit)
Next game...scores...yea!!!
Gets hurt in training
Out for the season.
Hmmmmm.
Hope my sarcastic comments are wrong and he bags 20.
