A decent point away, even if the performance wasn’t great.

Two away games, both six‑hour round trips - I’ll take two points from Swansea and Cardiff all day. Swansea have won their other two, and Cardiff have the wind in their sails after promotion.

Chill out.
But be honest, the football is shite. Sat watching Cooper ping it to Cannon for 90mins.

We’ve played 5 games and not lost any of them.

When your Board can’t wait to cash in on your creative players then don’t be surprised if you end up with an attritional line up.

Win the next home game and it will look like a reasonable start.

It is an excuse but it’s a bit rough having three away games on the spin. Didnt lose any of them either.

Let’s see if the window gives us any more insight as to whether we will have the options to be more expansive. Probably not.

Spot on

I think some of you forget we have enough quality in our squad to be imposing ourselves a lot better than we are at the moment. A better manager has this squad playing much better.

It’s like the off the field shenanigans are papering over the cracks. Whereas I’m of the opinion that we should be playing much better and that is on Wilder.

Yep, I won’t deny it is. I said as much on the shoutbox during the game….but it’s a point gained

We lack creativity badly and we clearly don’t have the money you need to sign those types of players unfortunately.

I think Wilder knows that & he’s gone for the tough to beat route.

Hopefully we can express ourselves a bit more at home. Still undefeated, reasons to be positive

Woah let’s not just say “the board”. Yes they’re partly responsible but the manager also has to take responsibility. Look at Hull last year!! They didn’t have money to spend and pretty much went with freebies too. Got the tactics right, an identity and won games.

When you look at the balance of the team it’s a wtaf? How many cdms? Shortage of wingers etc. chasing old targets etc etc

The danger is that we end up with a worse manager.

After 3 games Hull were 15th with 4 points

We had players like O'Hare and Bamford yet both are being bypassed (goal apart) as we are just lumping it. There are players in thise two alone that most teams, including Cardiff would love to have. They must have looked ar Cardiff's neat, progressive football where they went around us/through us and over is, and been envious. We have a keeper and CBs just smacking it and a plethora of slow, immobile midfielders who constantly toss possession away.

The board deserve criticism but today's performance was horrific and on another day we lose 5 or 6-2.

I think questions have to be asked about Wilder's tactics and style. Last year we had Hamer/Brooks who would bail us out occasionally but the lack of clear plan was evident.

I am concerned Wilder says he should not need to coach players and constantly says its not tactics. Sadly these are still quite important. We have better players than we are showing at the moment even accounting for some poor players. Its too easy to keep blaming the board. The lack of a clear plan or style is extremely concerning. If the current lack of offensive approach continues allied to the defensive issues that reared its head today (as much down to structure than individuals) then we aren't getting much higher than my predicted 14th.

Wilder threw away any chance of 3 points today by his appalling defensive minded decisions at HT.
He wants us to defend for 45 minutes ?
Stubborn mardy twat.
Absolutely no plan or personnel to move the ball forward on the front door.
CoH as a CF ????
Cannon as a false 9 who drifts to the RW.
Not a single MF who brings or passes the ball forward.
We were so lucky to get a point.
If Cardiff could shoot straight we couldn't have complained at losing 5-2.
Away end went quiet - no one around me could understand what Wilder had done.
Then with hardly any time left he brings on BBD - why didn't BBD replace Bamford at HT ?
Why not play a RB instead of Baptiste who was clueless at RB and was NEVER stopping their LW attacks in first half.
Utter tripe Wilder.
Are you trying to send some sort of coded message to the owners ?
Forget that - try and pick a team which makes sense - make subs that make sense.
Just do the obvious stuff or feck off.

My thinking is - we're being built to be hard to beat. However, we didn't seem that - we conceded after 2 mins.

It's very reminiscent of how CW wanted us to play against Burnley and Leeds when we finished 3rd. I didn't like it then, but it made sense against brilliant, freescoring sides. Makes absolutely no sense to be doing it week in week out

Also, wtf was that decision to have Baptiste at RB over Tanganga? Or Doherty?

They don't control the tactics and the players

Are we struggling to improve the squad because of them? 100%

Are we shite tactically because of them? No - that unfortunately falls on Wilder
First things first.

Most managers are going to struggle with this situation. (Feel free to mention Hull).

I’m 60/40 in favour of Wilder but it’s hard to know if we keep selling our best players, or don’t sign the good players available.

As you've said I can - Hull had a worse financial situation than us, achieved

Boro in recent years, Millwall now, West Brom? All financially tight, don't throw money about - miles better teams than we are

It is still early in the season and nothing is won now. Charlton are top of the league for instance.

We rode our luck today. Least we scored a few. Pressure is on a bit to win on Tuesday.

I must say however I feel we need another option or two at the top of the pitch. Oné will be good to have back though.

I fear for us when we come up against the likes of WHU, Wolves, Southampton, Boro etc, they will probably declare at HT

Hull signed a few players we should have signed last summer and have a good manager. And momentum. I’d love it if we could do this - they also have an engaged owner.

Boro spend and spend well. They have an excellent owner. This doesn’t support your argument at all.

Agree, West Brom look like a good way to change manager but COH/1919 will choose the next manager. Do you trust them? Don’t know much about their finances.

Also - 7 shots on target in 3 league games. We've scored twice. We have creative players (COH, McCallum, Cannon) and that's all we can muster?

Boro have spent less than we have in 24/25 and 25/26. Only spending now because they've made sales.

Hull had an embargo. They signed well, we don't. But they had an embargo, and achieved. We can't and we can still sign players

WBA got a deduction last season for financial issues. They're also struggling financially, and look much better than we are

Do I trust COH/1919? Not entirely, no - but I also don't trust Wilder

Why are most managers going to struggle in this situation?

Plenty of managers have got a tune out of squads much worse than ours.

A good manager would still be able to coach their squad get their style of play in place and have the team perform and have the background noise of ownership issues not be an issue for the squad.

Because drawing week in week out gets you absolutely nothing at the end of the season
What is it that you’re expecting us to get at the end of this season?

Realistically.

We are not one of the top 6 clubs at the moment, that may be difficult to accept but it’s where we are.

Boro have an excellent owner eh, that didn't help Wilder at Boro, in fact Wilder was sacked by Gibson with Boro in 22nd place

Fair enough.

But the issues around ownership need sorting before you can look at anything else happening. That’s all I am saying.
