Woah let’s not just say “the board”. Yes they’re partly responsible but the manager also has to take responsibility. Look at Hull last year!! They didn’t have money to spend and pretty much went with freebies too. Got the tactics right, an identity and won games.

When you look at the balance of the team it’s a wtaf? How many cdms? Shortage of wingers etc. chasing old targets etc etc
You’re using Hull as the example, which I think should give us encouragement, but they are very much the exception not the rule.

Their xG should have seen them relegated or at least bottom four.

It’s a bit like saying someone else pulled off a miracle therefore so should we.

I don’t think the manager can take responsibility for the Board selling his two most valuable players.

I’m not going to say a bad performance was a good one. There is a limit to what the manager can do. The number of times we turned over possession of put a careless misplaced pass, Wilder must have been pulling his hair out as much as anyone.

Yep that's pretty much what grinding out results means. Again it's only 3 games in.

Yes I think our squad is a mid table squad certainly as it is right now
If our squad is midtable, why the fuck are we scraping a draw against a newly promoted side having let them take thirty shots on goal?!

The fact that you're happy with draws and our lack of offensive output is laughable

COH - one of the best attacking mids in the league. Bamford is a proven Champ goalscorer. Tanganga one of the best CBs in the league. Cooper on his day is a top 3 keeper in the league. Add in other talents like McCallum, Donovan, Burrows ect and we should be comfortably top 8.

It's nothing to do with finances or talent. It's tactics. And that falls on one man
Oh it's laughable. We're 3 games it's too early to go off like this.

Comfortably top 8. Who are you actually kidding here? So obvious as soon as the season started you'd pretend we had a brilliant squad.

West Ham, Wolves, Millwall, Burnley, Southampton, Norwich, Middlesbrough, Wrexham are 8 teams who are obviously better than us right now. Comfortably top 8 is wildly optimistic and I think the vast majority of fans would agree.

The truth is HIS team should be sitting on 0 to 1 points after the three games we’ve played. We aren’t always going to get so lucky.

It really isn't. We've been dross for those 3 games. I'll point out that after Bristol last season, a large portion wanted Selles gone.

You laud the season we got 92pts - how different is this squad to that? We don't have Hamer, Anel, Souza, Brooks - who else are we missing?

Again - with our squad and the talent we have, we should be competing with those teams. The fact that we aren't falls solely on Wilder

Hell, without even having to look at how many shots against us: Stoke haven't won a game all season, and look horrendous.

They've had more Shots on Target this season than we have in the league

Calling Hull a “one-off” misses the wider point.

They’ve got John Egan, Regan Slater, Kieran Dowell and Oli McBurnie four of our former players in a side that beat Manchester United 2–0 last week. Add John Lundstram, who helped get them promoted.

These are players who were supposedly no longer good enough for us, yet they’re now succeeding elsewhere. Meanwhile, on paper, we had a considerably stronger squad and still failed to get the best out of it.

Hull’s result alone proves nothing, but their overall progress makes the comparison entirely relevant. To me, it points towards a managerial and tactical failure at United. Setting up with eight defensively minded outfield players, plus the goalkeeper, was absurdly negative and wilder seems to give the opposition too much respect

Ok I just disagree nothing much else to say.

I defend them when people claim it was a terrible season. This squad is very different. Gilchrist, Souttar, Rak-Sayki, Keifer Moore were important players. Brewster as well by the end. Even Jack Robinson God bless his soul.

I think your expectations are a bit silly but I hope you're right

I'd expect Cardiff to be mid table. It's away from home 3 games in with us needing to add players quite desperately. I think it's fine

Gilchrist, Brewster and even Jack Robinson ............ 😧 now who's being silly?

One trick pony that's lost his trick .Time to get shut now i dont see a end product with the formations what ever they are. And the lets go back to the same shite players and put them in the team anywhere and hope for the best

Comparing where the team who went up were this stage last season

I'm almost certain they were playing better than we are even if the points were similar.

We've got 3 points but should quite easily be on 0 or 1 based on the level of performances.

As we found out in the 92 points season eventually the level of performance will start correlating into results.

I don’t think the current tactics with squad will get us anywhere near eighth and we will probably finish about where we are now.

I’m not remotely surprised by this. Any club that sells Gus and Brooks, looses parachutes, continues to play square pegs in round holes, can’t clear expensive garbage off the wage bill and resorts to hoofing most games inevitably will be poor to average at best.

Replacing brooks and hamer with bbd is quality management. This rebuild has to be the most comical one anyone has witnessed

It’s a complete joke, there were 2 key areas since he came back again, centre half and legs in midfield, still not addressed and gone back to old chums who were not good enough before. His style of ”football “ has deteriorated alarmingly in mark 3 and follows the same pattern, decent 15 minutes followed by no shape, hoof and no tactical nounce, and still his supporters don’t want to see it. I would love to know what the owners are thinking at this point as their investment is a drowning duck.

Until we get rid of these owners he stays, we’ve seen what happens when we have owners that don’t have a clue or the funds to support a promotion challenging team. It’s bigger than the 11 on the pitch at this stage with the mess we’re in

Genuine question: would you trust Wilder with the funds?

They don't control the tactics and the players

Are we struggling to improve the squad because of them? 100%

Are we shite tactically because of them? No - that unfortunately falls on Wilder
They brought him back though when they shat the bed
