As you've said I can - Hull had a worse financial situation than us, achievedFirst things first.
Most managers are going to struggle with this situation. (Feel free to mention Hull).
I’m 60/40 in favour of Wilder but it’s hard to know if we keep selling our best players, or don’t sign the good players available.
Because drawing week in week out gets you absolutely nothing at the end of the seasonWhy would we sack our manager when nobody can beat us![]()
Good job its only 3 games in then isnt it. Or 5 including the 2 cup winsBecause drawing week in week out gets you absolutely nothing at the end of the season
And are you telling me that a team with aspirations of going up should look as bad as we have in those 3 league games?Good job its only 3 games in then isnt it. Or 5 including the 2 cup wins
Hull signed a few players we should have signed last summer and have a good manager. And momentum. I’d love it if we could do this - they also have an engaged owner. As you've said I can - Hull had a worse financial situation than us, achieved
Boro in recent years, Millwall now, West Brom? All financially tight, don't throw money about - miles better teams than we are
I dont think we are a team with aspirations of going up. I'm surprised you doAnd are you telling me that a team with aspirations of going up should look as bad as we have in those 3 league games?
Boro have spent less than we have in 24/25 and 25/26. Only spending now because they've made sales.Hull signed a few players we should have signed last summer and have a good manager. And momentum. I’d love it if we could do this - they also have an engaged owner.
Boro spend and spend well. They have an excellent owner. This doesn’t support your argument at all.
Agree, West Brom look like a good way to change manager but COH/1919 will choose the next manager. Do you trust them? Don’t know much about their finances.
Then what are we? Because we're sure as fuck not a "survival at all costs" side like CW is setting us up asI dont think we are a team with aspirations of going up. I'm surprised you do

Boro have an excellent owner eh, that didn't help Wilder at Boro, in fact Wilder was sacked by Gibson with Boro in 22nd placeHull signed a few players we should have signed last summer and have a good manager. And momentum. I’d love it if we could do this - they also have an engaged owner.

Fair enough.Boro have spent less than we have in 24/25 and 25/26. Only spending now because they've made sales.
Hull had an embargo. They signed well, we don't. But they had an embargo, and achieved. We can't and we can still sign players
WBA got a deduction last season for financial issues. They're also struggling financially, and look much better than we are
Do I trust COH/1919? Not entirely, no - but I also don't trust Wilder
Sure, he’s still a good owner.Boro have an excellent owner eh, that didn't help Wilder at Boro, in fact Wilder was sacked by Gibson with Boro in 22nd place
I'm hoping we're mid table and clear of danger and hopefully stay close enough to 8th to keep the season alive into spring. We're 3 games in and we are very short in certain areas. Today was terrible but we're at least grinning out results in this difficult spell. Then what are we? Because we're sure as fuck not a "survival at all costs" side like CW is setting us up as
I don't expect us to be anywhere near the top 4, but you'd think with the squad we have and players we've got, top 8 is achievable. What is it that you’re expecting us to get at the end of this season?
Realistically.
We are not one of the top 6 clubs at the moment, that may be difficult to accept but it’s where we are.
Grinding out results? 7 shots on target. 2 goals. We're fucking dire offensively, and have a manager that seems to want us to sit back and defend while he makes random, nonsensical defensive substitutionsI'm hoping we're mid table and clear of danger and hopefully stay close enough to 8th to keep the season alive into spring. Yep, I won’t deny it is. I said as much on the shoutbox during the game….but it’s a point gained
We lack creativity badly and we clearly don’t have the money you need to sign those types of players unfortunately.
I think Wilder knows that & he’s gone for the tough to beat route.
Hopefully we can express ourselves a bit more at home. Still undefeated, reasons to be positive
Yep that's pretty much what grinding out results means. Again it's only 3 games in.Grinding out results? 7 shots on target. 2 goals. We're fucking dire offensively, and have a manager that seems to want us to sit back and defend while he makes random, nonsensical defensive substitutions
Yes I think our squad is a mid table squad certainly as it is right nowAre you honestly telling me with players as talented as Cooper, Bamford, Tanganga, COH ect that we should be a midtable side?
I dont think we are a team with aspirations of going up. I'm surprised you do
I don’t think we should have aspirations of going up, mid table obscurity would be a bonus with the business we’ve done and the nonsense going on behind the scenes. And are you telling me that a team with aspirations of going up should look as bad as we have in those 3 league games?
The fact that you're happy with draws and our lack of offensive output is laughableYep that's pretty much what grinding out results means. Again it's only 3 games in.
COH - one of the best attacking mids in the league. Bamford is a proven Champ goalscorer. Tanganga one of the best CBs in the league. Cooper on his day is a top 3 keeper in the league. Add in other talents like McCallum, Donovan, Burrows ect and we should be comfortably top 8.Yes I think our squad is a mid table squad certainly as it is right now
