He never comes short and accept the ball to feet, shield it and play it into a teammate and go again. He’s no real pace, has poor upper body strength or physical presence, his only redeeming feature is he can on occasions strike the ball well, given time.

What’s more the biggest misnomer of all time, is that his initials are TC.

I don't like player pile-ons, but the Tom Cannon stuff is getting too much now.
I'm sure he's a good kid, and he is still a kid, but he's so far off the level and the poor lad looks devoid of all confidence.
When he makes a mistake you can see the expression on his face and the wilting effect it has on him. He knows the crowd are on his back.

He has a couple of attributes, a decent shot off both feet, which he's also able to get off early and accurately... and he also makes decent runs in behind.

The problem he has is, he struggles to ever get himself into areas to utilise that skillset effectively... mostly because he's very weak on the ball, and not fast / intelligent enough to find space.
Like Brewster before him, he looks lost on the pitch.

I'm positive he'd score a hat full in League 1. Ched Evans (albeit better physically) had similar skills and managed it...

I want him to do well, but I can't see it. There have been no signs of improvement. It looks like he needs another challenge and if an offer comes in, we shouldn't deny him of it.

I wouldn't be totally surprised to see him still have a decentish career, but it's not going to happen with us.

In the few short minutes that Oné was on, he gambled on a header and had a shot on target (he was offside, but it was the right movement)... he then made a fantastic run down the left where he showed pace, power and balance and it nearly led to something.

Sadly, he pulled his hamstring in the latter event.. but he was so much more confident and decisive than Cannon in those two actions... If it's true that Oné is frustrated at his lack of game time, then it's understandable given who's keeping him out of the team.

The minutes we're investing in Cannon needs to go into Oné's development now. He's a better player and a home grown asset for the books. If any scouts were watching today, they'll have been left very intrigued about Oné, because his profile is rare.
Osula is already being spoken of as a £40m player...

Laughable that a sizeable minority has tried to make excuses for him for so long. One of the main points has been "play him in a two" like that would suddenly make him have any effect whatsoever on a game of football.

Had a dry run in a two against league one Mansfield, nothing. Had another chance on the main stage today, nothing.

Anyone with eyes could see it from day one, arguably before day one at previous clubs. As someone with eyes, I'm sick of the sight of him.

Campbell didnt impress me today. I would have thought with the new contract and not being picked to start, he would have come on and put himself about a bit more.
His fitness will need building as again, i cant see more than 15min from him, let alone more than 45min.

Cannon is struggling and is the scapegoat. There are obviously questions about him but I will also say, some of the stuff he was getting verbals for was also been done by other players, but they didnt get the same treatment.

Worryingly but honestly, if personnel stays the same, i think Cannon has to start because of his fitness levels, which look to be in a better place than Campbells and Onè's.
