The Daily Mirror has it as a virtually done deal to be sorted out today, £2m to Hull, but hey, since when have they ever got anything right?

Wasn't it The Mirror a couple of weeks ago who said he had already been sold for £1.5 million ?

I think the message has been pretty consistent from Clough and Brannigan - no bid has been received that's anywhere near our asking price. Reading between the lines as I said somewhere above, I think we'd be confident of getting £3-£4m from a tribunal next summer given that Maguire would have played the best part of 200 games by then as well as all the other accolades he's been getting so I would have thought that the asking price is £3m + significant add ons.

Hull need to stop pissing about adding on £50k to their offers. All they're doing is coming across as cheap to us and - probably more importantly - not that bothered about actually signing Maguire.

In addition, I would have thought that with every bid comes a conversation with HM: "we've had a bid that's nowhere near our valuation but should they meet the asking price you're free to talk to them but think - you're at a critical stage in your development, do you want to be playing games at the Lane or benchwarming at the KC?"

@Gids1980: #sufc Nigel Clough says Harry Maguire didnt play tonight due to a bout of sun stroke, picked up whilst playing golf for 5 hours yesterday.

Would say this is a return of "Beattie flu" but its seems like such a weirdly specific illness plus i dont think clough the kinda man to make up illnesses.

Rags reporting Hull distancing themselves from Harry now due to Blades not playing ball

However, itk'er on BM reckons:

"Don`t believe the ` we are moving on` nonsense coming out of Hull City, the deal is not dead. Also, striker not close yet."

I just wonder how anyone can know what the hierarchy of this, or any other club, can be thinking? Unless of course they're part of that management equation, and if they are they should be summarily removed for talking so openly. None of this makes sense.

Defo sun stroked.....

Possibly the last picture we may see of him.

iGreat news... David Burns is a BBC Radio Humberside broadcaster so I assume it's legitimate.

That is good news for us.

Although it means someone else could come in for him.

Probably not Wolves since Richard Stearman signed a new deal.

I reckon they've pulled out just like we did for Brayford. It's all part of the game.
