Improvements needed :

We need to watch our discipline.
The 4 yellow card tackles were unnecessary and Gilchrist's was a red.

Moore was clumsy in the ways you noted and against better teams such failings will cost us points.

Apart from that , a job well done.

I agree about Moore, he occupies defenders, brings physicality up front, links up play when he drops back, and is an asset defending corners, him and Souter must frighten players to death when lining up for a corner, if he could chip in with 10 goals + a season I would be happy, great player to have around, ´and he deserved a higher mark !

Good report DB, thanks for the effort

Harsh on Moore. Deserved an extra point for his shoulder barge alone.

A strange game, due to Hull's bizarre tactics. They seemed to have their entire team camped around our box at times, making it very hard for us to play out, but every time we did, we seemed to get in. Nice to see us score two goals from corners too.

Disagree entirely with the Moore mark ...forwards adapting to a new team need more than 5 games to settle in but I thought he put in a much better team effort think 7 would have been harsh.

Just watched the highlights again and right at the start in Hull's first attack down the left they have a wide man over - Jez can be seen just ambling back making no attempt to race back and cover him - this should not be tolerated and Wilder needs to get in his ear about his defensive duties.

Thought it was great work by Moore, sadly, had it been in the premier league, a foul would have been given against him for being 'overstrong' or some other bullshit excuse for daring to challenge a defender for the ball..
Yes it might well have been a foul, there was a lot of shoulder in the challenge but there was also arms being used which I don’t think is allowed. But play continued and the end result was a super goal.

I watched the replay a few times last night and if it’s a foul we may as well not bother anymore. It’s a perfectly fair one-on-one test of strength and it just looked bad because their player (Millar?) was so weak he ended up in the stands.

Ref couldn't see that Moore slightly used his hands as well as his shoulder - imo never a foul - but in the PL with VAR its the sort of thing that would be given against us but not against a big club.

Think you'll find it was a yellow

I really don’t get this… Brewster came on for 20, during which time he provided significant impetus for a breakaway goal which secured the points. The rest of the time was consolidation and whilst he didn’t beat 5 men and score a worldy, he helped keep the ball and guarantee a decent away win.

He gets watched week in week out by the coaches who don’t agree that kids starting their careers or free transfers offer an improvement on a former England player at all age groups, who has scored several championship goals in between being seriously unlucky with injuries. Injuries which he has then fought with patience and good humour, and still come out showing love of the game and the club. Yeez, maybe give him a month off the constant hammering.
